The Other issue was that Emergency department was over-crowded due to fact that there were number of peoples with one patient. Mostly were in search of their patient as there was no information desk to facilitate them that where they should wait, was no proper sitting area. Due to interruption of relatives of patients to doctors there was disturbance for doctor in proper treatment. large number of people were standing outside of the building and some of them were sitting in the ramps which is meant to be used for moving the patients in emergency department and attendants of patients were also using these ramps for a resting purposes and also as sleeping areas. People who came for visit were making hospital unhygienic by throwing food items and unaware of its cause that it can affect patient health. While visiting cafeteria sector which was not cleaned or unhygienic food was served to patients and visitors in its emergency department. Hospital was overcrowded even some of the visitors and patients were sitting on floor or air conditioners were also not working or creating suffocation problems for patients. In toilet section there was no cleanliness or even male or female attendants have to share same visiting area. Participation in cleanliness of hospital not only includes nursing staff but also the staffs who are cleaners and members who come to visit patients in hospital but in reality the situation is totally vice versa and no cleanliness was seen and also lack of equipment facilities or maybe most of equipments are not sterilized and staff members like nurses or laboratory staff do not use much precautionary measures to prevent unhygienic environment. Many patients in the emergency department
With unnecessary care, they did not provided safety because not all patients were in a safe care. They did not provide effective or efficient care for the fact that they were not organized in how to evacuate all patients, how to handle a dangerous situation like this and nor did they have an effective procedure for everyone in the hospital. Doctors performed an illegal procedure in which caused Life-care patient to die due to fear. Although they tried to evacuate everyone in a timely matter they failed to complete it. That choice that Dr. Pou and her team made was a misunderstanding for many yet failed to achieve patient centered because patients were not consent to the fact that they were getting put to die.
Reasons, Impacts, and Potential Solutions to the Overuse of Emergency Department Service Introduction The different departments of a hospital incorporate various services that aim to improve the health of those who seek care. Preventative care, primary care, rehabilitation services, psychiatric services, surgical services, and so on that do their part to ensure patients are living a health and making health lifestyle choices. The emergency department is no different.
Patients have the option for treatment as private patients in public hospitals, so that they can choose the physician caring for them and their private insurance
The articles I read, both included the excessive expenditures that are absorbed due to non-insured population. One way to decrease the cost of uninsured is to make sure to separate the billing within the hospitals, regarding charity cases from bad debt, some hospital receive money from the government to help fund charity cases. One way to decrease expenses would be to combine the patients care into one bill. One bill is less intimating and help the patient with being able to budget a payment for their care. Analysis
When my room is in good sanitary condition, my students spread less bacteria around the room. I keep the room sanitized and healthy by making sure i wash my hands as i enter the room, and all those entering the classroom. By washing our hands upon entering, we are lessening the probabilities of bringing outside germs into the classroom. We also make sure that when our friends sneeze, they get a tissue then immediately wash their hands to keep them crispy clean. Upon entering children wash their hands and before and after each meal.
I wash my hands regularly, keep my patient’s rooms clean and organized and make sure that my patients have baths daily to prevent infections. F.
When the Hospital Standardization Program established their initial set of minimum standards, one of the prescriptive measures required healthcare organizations to maintain medical records for patient treatment. The necessity of creating, and preserving a detailed account of a patient’s history, laboratory results, and treatment seems rudimentary today. The Hospital Standardization Program made significant advances in enforcing proper documentation. Building on that legacy, TJC strengthened standards involving appropriate medical documentation by including strict timelines for completion. For example, TJC mandates a patient’s History and Physical (H&P) report be completed within 24 hours of admission.
The primary prevention is the best way to eliminate the potential for exposure. Since hand washing is the most effective mean of spread of infection, it would be my primary goal to increase the compliance of hand hygiene among healthcare workers, but also an extensive education of patients and family members on hand washing before and after touching the patient as well as afar any contact with any potentially contaminated materials (surface, body fluids or respiratory secretions). Mandatory education of patients, visitors and healthcare workers, across the system as well as cross department compliance practices are single best mean of preventing the spread of infection. For example, every patient and family member can be educated about hand hygiene, use of PPE-personal protective equipment (face mask, gowns and gloves). Although, the practices are already being utilized, I believe the compliance is poorly monitored.
In the era of economic freedom, there was a progressive reversal i.e. interest paid by poor was used by rich to invest in hospital. Hospital became feasible for private initiative the moment sickness turned into a spectacle. Hence helping ended up by
hence when nurse are understaffed, the patient centered safety culture is broken, health care provided in safe manner and safe environment is essential for patients wellbeing, but when the nurse/patient ratio is compromised, the nurses are unable to perform quality care and often leads to deterioration of health standard for the public leading to more mortality and morbidity. She also highlights that profit motivation becomes the main driving engine for the corporate driven hospitals and the health care system thus compromising on the patient safety. So with the understaffing of nurses, some of the common health care needs of individuals and communities lay threatened. The very first need of the individual to get a standard quality health care is being compromised.
One thing that can be done is to increase the cleanliness is to increase the cleaning rotations of the rooms. To improve the help that patient’s need, they could possibly do increased training in responding to call
Patients are our priority and when there is any complaint from their side, it should be handled and sorted
This is important evidence because it gives us conditions and results of what can happen if patients get lower quality care. Patients’ are not having enough time getting checked up by a nurse, and nurses would miss some diagnostics. Patients are getting sick because of the poor care they are receiving from nurses. The care patients can get is affected by a nurse shortage, “Nursing workload definitely affects the time that a nurse can allot to various tasks. Under a heavy workload, nurses may not have sufficient time to perform tasks that can have a direct effect on patient safety.
India has multiple players in the healthcare segment but there is a huge gap in the demand and number players in the market. Also, considering the growth potential projected in the next few years, it is a highly attractive industry for the existing players. Considering government hospitals as incumbents: This does not impact the industry attractiveness for private players by much because of following reasons in urban areas. Accessibility in terms of commuting and waiting time is much more in govt.
o Cleanliness of rooms and walls: Keep the surroundings clean o Personal cleanliness: Keep patient clean and dry. o Variety: Have variety in the patient’s room to avoid depression.
