Compared to other classes, this MIS class has at home quizzes, hands-on activities, and a more laid back environment. I believe that a ERP system is not efficient or effective when it comes to classes because it makes it harder to cater to the uniqueness of each subject. It would be difficult to work with the students because there would be more constraints on teaching and learning in general. Every class and student is different, which makes creating a ERP system difficult to implement. To measure the potential improvement that an ERP system could provide to classes, the school could look at student grades or take a survey of

At this year’s Legislative Lobby Days, my group and I lobbied for Senate Bill(SB) 23. SB 23 was written by Senator Holly J. Mitchell to repeal the Maximum Family Grant (MFG) in the California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Children (CalWORKs) program. Currently, the MFG, also known as a “family cap,” is intended to threaten parents with economic hardship in order to control their choices concerning conception. The existing law requires each county in California to provide cash assistance and other social services to underprivileged families through the CalWORKs program using funds from the state, county, and federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) block grant program. With the creation of "clear channel" and network radio, homes all over America can enjoy music and entertainments together for the first time. Back then, getting a broadcast on air is already a big hassle. Today pretty much anyone could open up their own station threw internet. Besides that, the concept of operating a channel is also different.
Another issue is caused when patients have multiple encounters with many different healthcare providers and results in fragmentation of the medical record. There is often very little if any exchange at all of information that makes up the patients historical medical record. There is limited overall healthcare information that is had by each healthcare provider and healthcare organization. The level of fragmentation depends on the ability of the patient to communicate their health information to the healthcare provider and the ability of the healthcare provider to gather the health information.

The more a company senses competition the intensity of its strategy may increase as it does not only respond to other firms, but also to the industry as a whole. It is natural for firms to respond to competitive moves made by its rival as it will have an effect albeit positive or negative on the industry. Firms may be forced to supply the demands for cheaper but more reliable products or to create differentiated products to maintain the competitive
From the case it is evident that Cisco’s ERP implementation was a success and the following are the success factors 1. Organizational structure – ERP implementations are relatively smoother in centralized organizations than in decentralized ones. Morgridge, Cisco’s CEO, maintained a centralized functional organisation – manufacturing, customer support, finance, HR, IT and sales organizations were centralized. Hence for Cisco it was more of software replacement than change management (compared to the kind of resistance to ERP and accompanying standardization in decentralized organizations).
Implementing the e-commerce will require Catatech to have formal IT to take an increase in demand and this will fail in Catatech seeing that the communication within the corporation is very poor.
