Vince Lombardi said individual commitment to a group effort-that is what makes a teamwork, a company work, a society work, a civilization work. It’s not easy to make the team members to commit with the work that was provided. So, there are few stages that we can used to make our work with group work and done properly. The four stages are Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing.

Forming is the first stage, group is build; sometimes we build a group without knowing each other’s. And when in one group, we get to know each other, also known as ‘ ice breaking ‘. Everyone don’t like and do not want to be in a group with the person that we don’t know, so this will be the challenges for us to be in a group with anyone else that we don’t know and …show more content…

This stage is appropriately named because of the intragroup conflict. There’s conflict over who will control the group and what the group needs to be doing. In this stage, my group and I don’t have so many problems, argued or fighting between us. After discuss the topic, our leader who is Hafiz, give a good idea want to do Batik Art at Central Market, Kuala Lumpur. Without, any argue we agreed with him. Then we continued with our goals and the tasks that need to be established. Not only that, we are making strategy how to shoot video for batik art. Our group problem is making an appointment with the artist. It’s not easier for us to contact the artist, but one of us, Felicia doesn’t give up to call the artist and persuade to approve our appointment. After at all, the artist accept our appoinment. So, we decide one date to go there to see the view, and the process of shooting the video. Hafiz is willing to be a cameraman for our group, while Fateha, Dyana and Ismat donate money and do the batik as their experience. In this stage, we learn how to work together, we also learn about other member’s abilities. So we will help each other when they need us. The group structure is in place and accepted by group members. Their energies habe moved from getting to know and understand each other to working on the group’s task. In this stage, our group work hard toward goal. We are not doing the task last minute, as our leader focuses on the group and always follow up the progress. So, we wont be a last minute workers. However, members are flexible and help each other. When we done with our task that have been given, we help Hafiz and Felicia to settle up with the video and slide. The tasks get accomplished effectively and efficiently. So then, we are preparing some speech to present in front of the class. On the presentation day, all of us feel nervous to be present. But Hafiz told us not too nervous just relax, because we already done all things together. Besides, leadership is shared according to members’ knowledge and skills when it comes on presentation. So we do the best on that day, and we manage to do it with a good teamwork. Norms and culture are well
