Technology is the the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. As technology advances, it becomes more computerized and robotic, future warfare would mean that the accuracy of hitting the target will be more precise. Missiles and tankers will have a longer firing range to prevent enemy from discovering their whereabouts. This could also bring in unmanned war fighting machines like mortars, tankers, helicopters, jet fighters whereby soldiers or pilots does not have to be physically on the equipment and operate it. It can control the equipment from the camp or base itself and fire missiles or mortars remotely.
So what are the advantages of having technology and computerized future warfare?
This could mean that less people

That means a lot of money will be spent on getting the latest technology. However, the end product when delivered may be outdated as it is time consuming to research on a new product. Maybe its countermeasure product has already been counter counter measured by its opponent. Moreover, the final product may not be easy for the old soldiers in the service as it might be highly sophisticated weapon or technology. Advanced weapons or aircrafts are also not war proven as well, unlike the old fighter jets like the F15s and F16s. The operating systems of the product might not be as reliable as the current system as it may experience system hang or glitches. Moreover, new products also requires new operating systems and new procedures which will incurred risk and uncertainty if they can meet its requirement. Although through fine tuning of new operating systems and procedures can allow the product to maximize to its capability but it would not be as advanced as it is when …show more content…
Neighboring countries can use their drones or unmanned aircrafts to spy on Singapore and see how Singapore military works. They can also see what kinds of equipment Singapore has and find ways and other equipment to countermeasure them. In order to prevent such spying activities and countermeasure, military power has to be constantly upgrade to guard our land and our people. As Singapore military has always been upgrading her people, the tech savvy level also increases. This can allow her people to adapt to new technologies in the system, thus increasing its military power to overcome any aggressor that bring harm to
In this document I will be explain the advantages and disadvantages of installing and upgrading new software. Advantages: There are a large amount of reasons as to why people should consider upgrading, or installing new software. Many people will upgrade their software due to the following reasons: • New hardware – With new hardware, many people will be wanting the upgrade in order to have a more efficient computer system. One way a hardware upgrade will make your computer system more efficient is the response time on a computer. With the response time becoming faster, it’ll allow people to complete work faster resulting on more work done.
Each newly engineered model was constructed in the hopes of becoming more effective and efficient and being able to withstand the constant bombardment from enemy lines. The tank was able to stand up against the constant attacks by small firearms and continue attacking the front regardless of shell fragments. They had the ability to maneuver the rough terrain that often slowed down the soldiers. Tanks ended the stalemate of trench warfare which raged on for an intensively long period of time without either side making a significant advancement against each other.
So many technological advancements were created and those advancements helped with what we have today. The weapons, vehicles, and machines helped modernize war and shaped how we live
This goes back to the main idea that too much technology can be bad for
In “Defense of Technology” Andrew O’Hagan talks about how technology is making life get better as time goes by, technology is improvement and improvement like never before. Every part of our daily life
Introduction Technology and war are closely related as it shapes the strategies adopted by nations and also influence the outcome of the war . Technological advancements are also driven by war due to the perceived needs to stay ahead and stay relevant in the new era so as to provide a technological edge against potential adversaries2. Although technology employed during war does provide an advantage against potential adversaries, however, it does not always result in a decisive advantage or victory in war. As demonstrated during the Vietnam War in the 1960s, the US who are armed with far superior technology advantages over the Viet Cong (VC) forces had failed to capitalise on it to win a decisive war. As a result, the US fought a long and costly
During wartime there were many technological advances. Many inventions that we still use today were developed during that time. Super glue, duct tape, Tupperware and the Slinky are examples of some inventions. Many types of technology were improved and even customized for military use.
Milrem Robotics, a company based in Estonia, has developed a robot called THeMIS (Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System), which consists of a mobile body mounted on small tank treads, topped with a remote-weapon turret that can be equipped with small or large-caliber machine guns. It also includes cameras and target-tracking software, so the turret can pursue people or objects as programmed. (Atherton) Ray was right about using creating advanced technology weapons. In my opinion raid Bradbury was right about our addiction to technology and drug use but not the advancements in technology.
Shortly following the conclusion of the United States’ conflict in Korea, the American military once again deployed its service members to Eastern Asia to combat and contain the spread of Communism; this time in the form of the Democratic Republic of North Vietnam. While the vast majority of the American populace recalls the Vietnam War as primarily an exercise of ground forces and maneuver, an often-overlooked aspect of the war is the significant contribution to strategy and successful adaptation to threats demonstrated by Air Defense Artillery Soldiers of the era. One of the more proud moments for the Air Defense Artillery Branch was their pivotal role in the Vietnam War. From the branch’s only Medal of Honor winner, to the Duster, and
Technological advancements like these saved the characters’ lives and gave them hope for a future. As for the military, many different weapons emerged and regressed throughout the novel.
Wojciech Wieczorek IB1 History SL Question 3: Examine the impact of technological developments on the course and outcome of one 20th-Century war (WW2 chosen). Stating that the WWII drastically changed the lives of people all over the world seems to be a massive understatement or a trivialisation of the entire conflict; however, simple fact is that it really changed everything, including development of new technologies. But not only new technologies were invented but also the ones created during WWI had matured and were adjusted to the new realities of the war. All kinds of technologies – including electronics and communication techniques; land, naval and air weaponry; and medical developments – had a substantial impact on the WWII.
According to History Today, “The island of Singapore at the foot of the Malay peninsula originally came under British control in 1819.”(Richard) The quote shows that Singapore was the colony of British that time. Next, according to the BBC, “1922- Singapore becomes main British naval base in East Asia.” (BBC) It shows that Singapore was very important for British that time, if it was defeated, the British may have big problems, so British needed to protect the colony.
Cyber threats continue to plague governments and businesses around the world. Cyberwarfare is Internet-based conflict involving politically motivated attacks on information and information systems. Normally there are two purposes of Cyberwarfare, espionage or sabotage. Cyberwarfare attacks can disable official websites and networks, disrupt or disable essential services, steal or alter classified data, and cripple financial systems. Cyber operations can also aide military operations, such as intelligence gathering and information warfare.
Imagine a world today where people didn’t have the technologies. If there were no technologies today, humans wouldn’t have phones, computers, tablets, Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat. Technology is now a big part of people’s society and predictable future. Electronic devices like cars, phones, tablets, and computers have all been created over time to make peoples live helpful and easier. The benefits of technology are that people can talk to their friends and relatives who are living far from them, they can learn new things and online courses, and they’re able to reach distant places within hours which took years of time to reach in olden days.
Technology refers to the use of tools, machines, materials, techniques and sources of power to make work easier and more productive. Apparently, people nowadays cannot live without science technology. There is nothing to puzzle or amaze if the people around the world have a mobile phone. Almost everything around us is the outcome or the wonderful result of technology. Development is closely related with technology.
