Computerized Future Warfare

Technology is the the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. As technology advances, it becomes more computerized and robotic, future warfare would mean that the accuracy of hitting the target will be more precise. Missiles and tankers will have a longer firing range to prevent enemy from discovering their whereabouts. This could also bring in unmanned war fighting machines like mortars, tankers, helicopters, jet fighters whereby soldiers or pilots does not have to be physically on the equipment and operate it. It can control the equipment from the camp or base itself and fire missiles or mortars remotely.

So what are the advantages of having technology and computerized future warfare?

That means a lot of money will be spent on getting the latest technology. However, the end product when delivered may be outdated as it is time consuming to research on a new product. Maybe its countermeasure product has already been counter counter measured by its opponent. Moreover, the final product may not be easy for the old soldiers in the service as it might be highly sophisticated weapon or technology. Advanced weapons or aircrafts are also not war proven as well, unlike the old fighter jets like the F15s and F16s. The operating systems of the product might not be as reliable as the current system as it may experience system hang or glitches. Moreover, new products also requires new operating systems and new procedures which will incurred risk and uncertainty if they can meet its requirement. Although through fine tuning of new operating systems and procedures can allow the product to maximize to its capability but it would not be as advanced as it is when

Neighboring countries can use their drones or unmanned aircrafts to spy on Singapore and see how Singapore military works. They can also see what kinds of equipment Singapore has and find ways and other equipment to countermeasure them. In order to prevent such spying activities and countermeasure, military power has to be constantly upgrade to guard our land and our people. As Singapore military has always been upgrading her people, the tech savvy level also increases.
