Thanks to globalization technology has travelled all over the world to help people have easy access to information. Information can be accessed easily and freely through the internet, mobile phones, television and other devices. Globalization has increased the economic right for people worldwide especially in the developed world. There has been an increase in the standard of living of many people hence healthy lifestyles. However in my opinion, globalization has done more harm than good to the people of the world especially people in the developing world.
Globalization is a small term after all, but has a broader definition acting as a catalyst to progress and growth transforming the world in general. The concept of globalization is not something new for most of the people as this is gaining momentum in today’s era. Globalization has resulted in interrelation and assimilation between world economies and business. Globalization in general has a significant role in advancements of a country and improving the lifestyle of people. In the business world, the benefits of globalization are not just limited to profit maximization, but also provide other advantages equipping business to carve a niche for itself in today’s highly competitive market.
In my opinion, globalization is an important issue, as it allows countries to collaborate politically, socially and economically. As every concept, it has its own negatives and positives, so is globalization. Globalization is important as it is a term of changes in societies and worlds economy, that leads to border movement, new investments, and cultural changes. Globalization process has been used for many centuries, but only in recent time globalization became the most focused discussion. One of the reasons why globalization is important issue is because of the world economic problem and different businesses.
According to Hamdi (2013, p.142), globalization has positive impacts on many different sectors of developing countries for example the economy, health system, technology and politics. However, there are many drawbacks that can be observed due to globalization. Such as the increased income inequality and global warming, as the result of increased transportation and production ( Borghesi & Vercelli, 2003, p. 78-79). However we will see later on that there are also disadvantages in health and education
One of the advantages that those company that practices the organization structure is the production rate of the company increases. This is due to the systematic organization structure that prevent any hindrace affecting the company work force. For example, when there is a problem in the lower departments, they can easily relay the problem to the high-ups with ease. Hence, the problem can be rectify quickly. The second advantage is it can allow companies to expand their business internationally.
Globalization is countries around the world sharing their economical, social, political, environmental, and technologies with other countries around the world creating a diverse world . You may not think that globalization happens in you community, but most likely one thing that you are wearing, eating, or doing is the result of globalization. There for globalization plays a big role in the way our Identity is shaped, since it plays such a big role in our everyday lives. Globalization helps in creating a harmonious society, and an identity worldwide that focuses on capitalistic values, it also creates more diversification in culture and our identities. These three positions help us understanding just how big of an effect globalization has on our personal and collective Identities Some people may think that globalizations is threatening the unique and varied cultures in our society, but having a more common Identity through the world will help keep the peace between countries.
According to (www.occupytheory.org), the flow of communication has allowed the global mass media to bind the the world together. Global mass media has allowed vital information to be shared between corporations and individuals around the world. Globalization has also contributed to greater speed and ease of transporting goods and people.
Globalization is a change of a country in order to exchange and work with other countries or in other words is a process of global economic, political and cultural integration. Globalization play an integral part in developing countries, it creates more opportunities as well as more benefits for country’s economic development, especially the industry which receives lots of advantages from the alteration. Industry includes many different fields such as tourism, food processing, clothing, electronic and mechanical products making, etc. Therefore, it is really important for a country’s economy. However, it is not true that all effects of globalization are positive, but it also brings up many new challenges and disadvantages such as competition with other countries for goods, instability in commercial and financial market and also environmental contamination.
For example, there are many global social problems which need to be solved together by many countries such as human right, political, sovereignty, climate change, hunger, disease and so on. Simultaneously, we need a common language help us to deal with global problems. While English is a common language, it can solve these problems effectively. In addition, spread of English globally can boost economic development. For many firms, they can through English to expand their own business to international market.
As the world has now become a globalised international economic market, people are now required to have a certain understanding of the language to be a part of this market. Therefore, many countries who seek to play a major role in the world economics are moving towards making the study of the English language a compulsory subject. (page 15) English language plays a positive role in bringing people together. As Language is the method used by people to express their thought and emotions, having a common language facilitates communications and interactions between people from different parts of the world. English, as an international language, brings people closer, helps people communicate with others from various cultures and different parts of the world and it can also make business easier.
