Traveling is probably the only way to explore the world that is to explore diverse cultures. The prime reason is the avid beauty it provides - not just in terms of nature but all the living and non-living stuffs. Every time there 's whole freaking world waiting to dig in!!
A traveller not only explores the destination but the journey too since it is the journey which matters more than destination at times. To reach the destination one can prefer any mode - roadways, railways or airways. Each mode provides a different experience all together. In the initial mode one generally gets to interact with lower class, in the second case middle class is explored and in the latter case it is the higher class!
Recently while traveling after attending a function at my friend 's place, I had to wait on a train platform for my train to arrive. I was having good 1-1:30 hours’ time to explore the vicinity. I plugged my ear chords and since it was late night it wasn 't a very good option to go out. Hence I started roaming on the platform.
While wandering alone there were n number of thoughts coming to my mind and similar to n number of coming trains. I found quite similarity between the thoughts and trains. Like many kinds of thoughts - future, past and present; there were many kind of trains.
I always enjoy these kind of thoughts and hence I started digging it more and more and soon I was completely lost in the huge rail network (here I mean thoughts!). FYI India is having 2nd largest rail
The Journal of Sean Sullivan The book I read was “\The Journal of Sean Sullivan: A Transcontinental Railroad Worker” by William Durbin. Sean Sullivan and his grandfather lived many years in their home town Omaha Nebraska. “Anything, no matter what, to get rid of thinking! It was this everlasting thinking of my own condition that tormented
Then all of a sudden, something very spooky start happening. Every time I came to the end of the block and stepped off the g*****n curve, I had this feeling that I never get to the other side of the street. I thought I just go down, down, down, and nobody'd ever seen again. Boy did scare me." (197).
Sparks of excitement and stress exploded in my body as I opened the door. I took my first step to freedom then sprinted down the stairs almost tripping and falling flat on my face. I ran to nearest train station and hopped onto the back where i curled up in the corner waiting for the long road ahead. I didn’t know where this train was taking me and I didn’t know what I was going to do when I arrived
There is an old Moorish proverb that reads, “He who does not travel, does not know the value of man.” That quote resonates deep within me because I have a yearning to use my education to empower those in need. In order to do so, I need to see and experience the world outside of the one I am accustomed to. Curiosity is one of the traits that define the person that I am; because of this trait I always ask questions about the world around me and the people I meet. This is one of the driving forces behind my desire to venture outside of the United States to learn a new language and culture.
For example, Sasse views travel as, “...an opportunity to help our kids to get out of their comfort zones, learn to see different social and economic arrangements.” (Sasse 18). Ben Sasse views travel simply as a way to get out of one’s own bubble to learn about the various living situations that people, even a neighborhood away, experience. Therefore, although traveling is not the only way for a kid to be made aware of the different circumstances that people around the world experience on a daily basis, it is one of the most effective ways as they will be able to experience them firsthand. This sentiment holds true in my own life as well as for many others.

Most people dream about sudden trips to exotic lands or planned voyages to previously familiar locations, but what is it that drives us to seek to leave our home? Why is it that we travel, even if we are completely comfortable in the country we live in? Pico Iyer, in his travel essay titled ‘Why We Travel’ states different reasons why he believes we seek the unknown. One of the points he claims that we travel for the “self and anonymity”. As he expands on this idea, it is clear to the reader that Iyer believes one of the reasons we travel is to be able to be “free of caste and job and standing” in order to better comprehend ourselves.
