Windows is one of best invention in the last century by Microsoft but as each successful company its goal is Customer convenience so Microsoft tries to improve this product and mad a great effort to reach to Customer Satisfaction.

As we all know that the early versions of windows operating system depend on providing a simple program for the pc user. These versions also did not support the network user and the security purposes. Then version 95 & 98 is able to detect the attached hard ware devices each new version came with improvement and stability and have the disadvantages which make the company try to cover their disadvantages in the next version. Let us see and compare the advantages and disadvantages

The ability to address memory beyond 640k.unlike windows 1.0 and 2.0 that starts with a MS-DOS executive, Windows 3.0 has a program manager shell can manage windows compatible programs and also MS-DOS programs. Disadvantages: the lack of multimedia and network feature witch mad the company replaces windows 3.0 by windows 3.1

Windows NT Advantage: more comfortable to the eye .Runs well on old pc if all patches were installed. Easier to install .the system requirements is

changed. User can switch back to classic interface for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows 2000. It support the all types of DSL modem and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it support the Direct x 9 to improve quality of games. It also support the old programs which cannot be run by vista or windows 7 Disadvantages: it cannot be loaded in old hardware and also cannot be loaded on multiple pcs because of single user licenses . The exist of many holes which is the reason of present of many virus and spyware

Windows vista Advantages: faster internet than windows xp. Automatically supported for a lot of driver like (LAN/Audio/Scanner/Printer) .Fast in restart and sleep moad .improve the search of windows explorer Disadvantages: it did not support the old programs comparing with windows xp .Windows vista needs a lot of resources than the Windows XP. making little dull on appearance of windows

Windows 7 Advantages: faster than Vista, and XP. Have nice design. Fast start and shut down. Improve the windows media player windows. The graphics was upgraded on it Disadvantages: it need high Ram at last 1 GB. New users find it complex to use windows 7 and they may be return back to windows XP itself. Much old software will not work on
