ABS : Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) (chemical formula (C8H8• C4H6•C3H3N)n) is a common thermoplastic used to make light, rigid, molded products such as piping (for example plastic pressure pipe systems), musical instruments (most notably recorders and plastic clarinets), golf club heads (used for its good shock absorbance), automotive body parts, wheel covers, enclosures, protective head gear, buffer edging for furniture and joinery panels, airsoft BBs and toys, including Lego bricks. AL/MS: (Aluminium/Mild Steel) Aluminium is a soft, durable, lightweight, malleable metal with appearance ranging from silvery to dull grey, depending on the surface roughness. Aluminium is nonmagnetic and nonsparking. It is also insoluble in alcohol, …show more content…
These hangers are temporarily attached to the jigs. These jigs are keep on moving continuously by conveyors. PRETREATMENT: After loading the work-piece, it undergoes the process of “pretreatment”. In this process chemical water (mixture of DM water and Surf Power) is use to remove grease, stains etc. from the job. The spray pressure of water is 0.5 to 0.8 kg/cm². Temperature is about 55 to 65°C. DRY OFF OVEN: The dry off oven make the job, after the water treatment to get dry for further operations. WIPING WITH IP: IP is Isopropyl Alcohol. It is use to remove the oil and grease from the work component after it comes from the dry off oven. WIPING WITH TAGRAG: After IP, the component is wiped with a cloth called as “tag-rag”. This cloth is used to remove the dust particles, if any, on the component. AIR BLOW OPERATION: After wiping the component with tag-rag, air at a very high pressure is made to strike on the component to remove water from the pockets of the component. After this operation the component enters the paint kitchen. PAINT KITCHEN: In Paint Kitchen, two operations are performed on the component. They are following: 1. Primer Coating. 2. Paint (Color) …show more content…
In Primer coating, three coats of primer is done on each and every component. Similarly, in colour coating, again three coats of paint (colour) is done on the component. BAKING OFF OVEN: The temperature of the Baking off oven is about 70 to 75 °C. The purpose of baking off oven is to completely dry the paint on the component. INSPECTION: After bake off oven the component is inspected thoroughly to find “a single minute defect”. The defected pieces undergo the same operations again. And the “ok “ tested pieces move in the assembly line. UNLOADING: After the inspection, the components are removed from the hangers. PAINT TABLE: Paint Supplier Paint Paint Hardener ThinnerThinnerVis- Paint Temp. hu Name batch no. cosity filter m No. POST PAINTING OPERATOINS: The paint which do not stick to the components is then carried away by the water . The paint acts like a sludge and floats on the water. This sludge is then removed. Water is treated in the RO Plant to filter it and then water is again circulated in the plant. The sludge is then burned in the
It is soluble in water and N,N-dimethyl formamide; slightly soluble in methanol; very slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone, and acetonitrile; and insoluble in isopropanol and isopropyl
Unknown 6- Isopropyl Alcohol We found that unknown 6 was Isopropyl alcohol. Its chemical name is isopropanol and the chemical formula C₃H₈O but is typically called isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol is today used as a primary ingredient in rubbing alcohol. Is smells very unpleasant and is used for disinfecting pads used by medical professionals for tasks such as sanitizing small instruments, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning a patient’s skin before an injection.
2.004 The procedures include: chemicals used and concentrations, time, temperature, frequency, etc. The cleaning procedures address utensil and tool cleaning as well as processing equipment. 2.005 Cleaning chemicals are appropriate for the intended use (equipment cleaning vs. facility cleaning). 2.006 CIP systems properly documented for bulk systems or processing lines.
Double Replacement Lab Report Date Completed: October 8, 2015 Objective To analyze and determine if a chemical reaction occurred between two compounds using the concepts we learned in class. Also, if the chemical reaction occurred, to determine if it formed a precipitate or gas. Safety General Safety Precautions: Do not touch the chemicals Use of gloves and coats are recommended, use of goggles should be required Keep the work area clean Dispose of the chemicals properly, DO NOT dispose them in the sink Clean up your work station Wash your hand before and after the lab Make sure all chemicals are labeled correctly NEVER return chemicals to reagent bottles Use the wafting technique to smell the chemical Clean up spills immediately
Prove if the material in cup 6 is a metal, metalloid, or nonmetal, by using its appearance, color, state of matter, luster, conductivity, malleability, and how it reacts with HCL. Before beginning to test on the substance we observed its appearance, state of matter, luster, and color. The substance was very shiny, solid and hard, as well as silver. Then we put on safety goggles to start testing.
This reflects the idea that Asher intertwined different aspects and perceptions of life into a clear coherent idea of religion that encompasses both perception and art. Language quote: My paintbrush, the big one, splashed red paint all over the rabbi's rabbinical coat.” Analysis: The author uses vivid imagery to encapsulate Asher’s clash between religion and art. The active verb splashed creates a visual experience for the reader, and the color red represents passion and a break from traditional values.
Leon paints a streak of white along the high cheekbones and a strip of blue paint as well. Leon also paints yellow under the grandfather's nose, then the last thing Leon dose is painted green across the
Ever since a young age, I have been around horses; however, most of my time is spent with my paint horse. My paint horse is a bi-colored paint while another paint horse I am frequently around is a tri-colored paint. These differences caused me to wonder at a young age if there were different types of paints. I have since learned that there are three types but did not know the particular names. To further my knowledge on this specific subject, I gathered information regarding the breed of paint horses using sources such as books, journal entries, and websites.

If you are painting the bumper, now is the time to apply masking tape on the parts that you don’t want paint to get onto. Then scuff the part of the bumper where paint is being applied, since the paint won’t stick to the bumper otherwise. Use Primer Before you can paint, apply primer to the bumper. Let it dry, and then repeat the process by adding two more coats of primer.
To begin, cocaine, also known benzoylmethylecgonine, is a strong stimulant extracted from the leaves of the coca plant, Erythroxylon coca (Medical-Dictionary). For two thousand years, Ancient Incas in the Andes chewed cocaine leaves to get their hearts racing and to speed their breathing to counter the effects of living in thin mountain air. This drug grows naturally in the forests that surround the Andes Mountains in South America (Drug Free World). In addition, cocaine causes a short-lived, intense high that is immediately followed by the opposite-intense depression, edginess and a craving for more of the drug (Drug Free World). “Street names” for cocaine include coke, flake, snow, blow, white, toot, base, basa, cola, and powder (Drug Free World).
