The spinning wheel is mounted on a pivot which gives the freedom of rotation around an axis. This pivot is called a gimbal. A gyroscope uses two nested gimbals at a time which gives the rotor a rotational freedom of three degrees. The spinning wheel is creating a force that holds the gyroscope upright but when the wheel stops force disappears and gyroscope will fall. This phenomenon appears to be some kind of magic but it works on the concept of conservation of angular momentum. A rotating wheel has an angular momentum similar to the momentum a stone flying through air has. To change the direction of the stone, we require a force. Similarly changing the orientation of the rotating wheel requires a force. The spinning wheel prefers to stay oriented as it is and it will resist any attempt to change that orientation. The fact that a gyroscope will maintain a particular orientation in a vehicle is very useful. In motor vehicles, a GPS navigation system uses a spinning gyroscope to monitor and control the orientation of the vehicle. The gyroscope is contained

90% of the vehicle drivers heavily rely on GPS navigation system because of its ease-of-use. The biggest advantage of a GPS system is that it is a self-calibrating system. We don’t need to install any kind of drivers or other software. We just have to start the engine, turn on the system and start using it.
Another big advantage is that we do not need to setup any kind of environment or a laboratory to use this system. It can be used anywhere all around the globe. Considering the fact that this technology offers so many functionalities, yet is in a very small size is also another advantage. The biggest advantage of this technology is that it is absolutely free to use. Anyone having a car and a GPS system installed in it can use this free of cost
Rotating objects Rotating an object allows you to move an object around in a fixed position of the screen in short it allows me to move the object without altering the position the object sits in on the world. 1.4. Transformations – move Transformations can be accessed by right clicking the object that is selected. The transformation move allows you to move an object around freely from the currently viewed aspect.
Task1 (3) - comparison of three operating system Components Window 7 Window 8 Ubunutu 12.04 Security It has better firewall. It also support bit locker drive encryption, which encrypt window hard disk to keep documents and passwords as well. Also help to protect desktop against viruses and other malware with Microsoft security essential. It also supports parent’s control which is also an essential part.
In the first activity, I determined the circumference and tangential speed of points on spinning DVDs to demonstrate the rotation curve of a rigid body. For instance, the DVD with a radius of 4 has a circumference of 25.13 cm and a tangential speed of 1933.08 cm per second. During the activity, I noticed as the radius increased, the tangential speed also increased. I also noticed the shape of the rigid body rotation curve was linear.

You Gotta Believe (YGB) is an organization that tries to find permanent parents and families for young adults, teens and pre-teens who are in the faster care system. Being a one of a kind organization in the New York City Metro area, YGB focuses on finding homes for youth age 10 and up, especially those age 16-21. With more than 400,000 children in the foster care system in the U.S. YGB, believes that every child deserves to be part of a stable and loving family. Adoptive parents receive tremendous support from YGB through classes, group meetings and coaching. YGB provides support before the adoptive process, during the process and after the adoption has been finalized.
Introduction A rotocopter is a smaller simpler version of a helicopter. The rotocopter displays two simple blades that are re shaped into a rectangle a circle and a triangle as the experiment is conducted. These results allow us to determine how the blade shape affects a rotocopter’s flight time. Although the helicopter looks to be complex and maculate the helicopter and the rotocopter have many similarities.
VECTOR_LINEARACCEL (m⁄s^2 ) VECTOR_GRAVITY (m⁄s^2 ) The sensors are capable of transmitting the orientation data in both Euler and Quaternion angles depending upon the function used. As the requirement of this project is concerned, the values from the vector function we were concerned was VECTOR-EULER (degrees) and was VECTOR-GYROSCOPE (rad⁄sec).
5.1.1. Standard Process First part Coming from the field the data was downloaded from the two GPS bases into the GPS controllers. Connect the GPS controllers to the computer and open the Trimble Business Center to import data from GPS receivers. Second Part Set the coordinate system in the software as to match the coordinate system which was used on the field.
The Trans-Canada highway is one of the longest highways in the world officially opening on July 30th, 1962 and finally completed meeting its road requirements in 1971 classifying almost 13,000 km of road. The Canadian government invested more than a billion dollars for the construction not to mention the costs needed for repairs, a price I was unable to find an exact number for, but besides that, a question that goes around is whether or not the Trans Canada Highway money well spent or wasted? Well it is money well spent, as a long term investment by the government uniting our nation geographically{again} and symbolically as well as allowing people an easy way to travel long or short distances across the country and long and/or short distance transportation of goods by road. The Highway links Canada, creating a stronger unity between our provinces and territories, economically, socially and symbolically. The Trans CandaHighway is a title given to roads that match the given set requirements by the
Emerging Future of Telematics Insurance in India Vehicle telematics provides services like vehicle tracking, real-time navigation, roadside help, and now vehicle insurance. Telematics-based insurance provides an opportunity for vehicle insurers to segment customers and pricing based on driving behavior of a customer. Telematics helps monitor driving performance and recording driver behavior with a telecom device fitted in a car. Taking advantage of this technology, a vehicle fitted with the telematics device can send out, pick up and process information based on driver behavior.
Technology is a whole different mind set and new world for the American Government. For the average human a GPS is simply a tool one may use to search a location they are unaware of. A GPS does function for that but, the American Government takes advantage and uses it as an opportunity to collect data off of someone so they can specifically advertise products that will most likely interest an individual. The American Government isn’t just the only one that watch humans, it’s also big corporate companies
MAGNETIC COMPASS Compasses work by using magnets. The magnet inside them is drawn to the Earth’s magnetic field and the magnetic poles. The magnetic compass brought lots of change about for medieval Europe. It allowed more trade and the exploration of new places.
