IV. BENEFITS OF DIGITIZATION
The key component of effective information management is digitizing physical records. Digital and physical records provide an array of benefits and help to strengthen an organization’s information. Some of the advantages of digitization are listed here:
A. Access
Allowing increased to the object, is the most-often-cited benefit of digitization. An electronic version of a page, for example, can be theoretically copied and distributed ad infinitum without any degradation in quality. Digitization enables greater access to collections. Almost every industry, organizations, institutes, etc. are now computerized and digitized. They all are going paperless to pursue new ways of doing business. Digitization will give new opportunities to communicate across multiple channels and attract new customers, partners, etc. For a global, geographically-independent operating model, digitization and automation are prerequisites to outsourcing. Now a days digitization is covering many domains like digitization of land records (at state level or country level), digitization of documents, archives, historical data, images, digitization of Health Records, digitization of laboratories, libraries etc. Each and every organization, institute, companies are moving towards digital form of data for business point of view as well as for making their work easy, fast and effective.

Email is one good example of digitization is the. It is much faster and can be delivered over a large distance instantly. Other noteworthy examples are digital cameras. And satellite phones. However digitization of documents is perhaps the best example for understanding the benefits of digitization. It has enabled storage of archives like voter lists, land records, details of penitent’s health data and citizen information etc. in hard drives. Central registry of land record will be very beneficial. Long back government has launched National Land Records Modernization Programmed with an aim to modernize management of land records by Digitization of Land Records. Various Taxes and Land Revenues are the main source of income for any state government, but because of corruption and without any transparent system in place to manage land records, most of the state governments were losing money. Poor land owners were dependant on local corrupt officials for any documentation required for any land related transactions. Multiple cases of Land disputes are still pending with different courts across the country just because no documentary proof available for any land records to take any decision.
Digitization of Land Records will help the state government where it has realized most of the taxes and land revenue, but is has also helped the land owners in rural areas a lot where now dependency on any particular local person has been removed completely by putting the digital data online and allowing the land owners to manage it directly. Any application can be put online and can be followed accordingly; any document required can be printed just by logging
