ABSTRACT
The fundamental advantage of learning through mobile can be considered as a potential of knowledge acquisition which can be customized and easy to use according to the learner’s needs. Although the mobile learning process takes a longer time duration as compared to traditional ways of learning, the users feel an ease of time and space, so that they can utilize their spare time to learn any new stuff when and where they are.
Knowledge acquisition through mobile consists of using a mobile device with an ease of access applications to the knowledge available on the

This type of learning process can take place either outside or within the classroom. In latter the devices having specific applications are very effective to have a combined learning process within a group. Although this process has nothing related to the main property of such devices i.e., mobility, it provides the users with an opportunity to have close interactions, conversations and decision making among their group or team due to specific style of design on their learning device. These features can be very hardly seen when using the personal computers or laptop computers while learning …show more content…

Game electronic-based learning is another way for mobile learning in which learning tools are so designed to be integrated with aspects of physical environment. In such environments, learning tasks are facilitated using the mobile technology which serves as a link between the real world of knowledge and the visual world of the game. Time electronic-Lab, for instance, is a game about climate change and its effects. Players succeed to get information about the introduction of possible new environmental laws via their mobile devices in different locations as they progress in the game.
The mobile learning is nowadays used to learn many stuff by connecting through internet like YouTube, Wikipedia and other online knowledge repositories. People are learning musical instruments by watching Guitars lessons, piano lessons etc. online and enhancing their skills on their own decided time of learning. Their learning process is not dependent on the availability of any teacher or classroom space, it’s all about the spare time they have and the connectivity of the devices to the online world. They can easy download these stuff on their devices and play along with them at their own
For many years it was thought that video games have bad impact on students and their learning. This article is proving that video games actually helping students to learn, by providing them games that are fun and actually teaches them something. Now kids can learn in their homes as well because they have access to their learning material anywhere at anytime. It also helps them to learn better because now they have to learn something before moving to the next section, unlike how school systems work. “Is Homework Beneficial to Students?”.
Most kids nowadays don 't know what to do without an internet or
In this article, Gee discusses how literacy is not just reading and writing: it is learning symbols, graphs, diagrams, and artifacts and how playing video games can teach all these different elements. Outpatient Surgical Center Mobile Device Security Policy 1. Introduction Mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablet computers, are important tools for the organization and their use is supported to achieve patient care and business goals. Mobile devices are a significant risk to information and data security. If security applications and procedures are not applied, mobile devices can be a means for unauthorized access to Protected Health Information (PHI), the organization’s data, the IT infrastructure, and can subsequently lead to data breaches and system infection (viruses, malware, etc.). Furthermore, mobile devices are susceptible to loss and theft increasing risk of security breaches.
Take gadgets such as the cell phone for example; cell phones are one of the most commonly used devices in our society. There is no argument that such a small piece of metal and wires has “changed the way our society approaches learning and even life itself” (NCES). Some college professors and even elementary school teachers have formatted assignments to be technologically savvy. Learning in the classroom not only involves a paper and pen, but has evolved to using cell phones to take pictures of slides, write down homework assignments, or even to quickly research the topic being discussed in a
I choose my friend Alex as he is similar to me as a Dynamic Learner. Not knowing exactly what his learner scores are I would put him as follows: 26 Sequence, 21 Precision, 28 Technical Reasoning, 18 Confluence. As Alex is Construction Worker he would easily score highest in Technical Reasoning always fiddling with miscellaneous tools to figure out how to solve problems. He must break the job site down into a step by step process to reach his final goal of completion.
In the Situated Learning Matrix, learning moves from identity to goals and norms, to tools and technologies, and only then to content. Beyond learning from problem-based, goal-driven experiences, He argues that some games stress models and modeling, not just as part of the gameplay as lots of games do but as the very nature of their gameplay as a whole. Such games often dispense with avatars, allowing the micro control of many units. Models and modeling are inherently tied to learning and exploration since they simplify complex phenomena in order to make those phenomena easier to deal with for the accomplishment of goals, problem-solving, and action. They also allow for learning from experience which is in danger sometimes of being too concrete to be rendered more abstract and generalized.
So it is lead to forgetting the basic way of learning. For example, when the teacher gives students homework they are turning to use of technological devices to search for the answers, rather than return to the main book. On the other hand, we can use the tablet devices in a good way to avoid all these defects, by observing teachers or the parents for their children and students and put some guidance of using tablets, such as placing the appropriate time. Also, the families can close some apps which are unwanted. (Peter, 1997,
His research focus deeply on the practices that has been done in classrooms to see if the students are using technology effectively and how the technology is helping them learn. The research results proved that all students held back from using the Internet and started using their brains to solve problems on their own. The students were able to pick which task they want to work on, and that shows that they are capable of taking care of their own learning. The results also proved that not just the students were able to take care of their learning and collaborate, but there is also collaboration between the teachers.
Have you ever considered the amount of productivity, responsibility, blocking of confusion, and the amount of satisfied office workers cell phones can make happen in schools. Well, if you are a principal cell phones could make everyday life at your schools a lot easier. ¨Using smartphones for on-the-fly research during class is a start. ¨ But a good next step is having students gather pertinent information and then learn ways to analyze the validity of their sources.¨ (centerdigitaled)
The studies clearly indicate that integrating technology in the educational process elevates student comprehension and educational outcomes. A research showed that students with their own laptops when compared with their non-laptop counterparts, raise their collaborative work, uses project more as an instruction tool, their analysis and information gaining skills increased, have a better writing quality and vocabulary, and they use laptops to perform school projects and homework. Also another outcome of that research show that these students have more influence on their studying, more dependence on active learning methods, more involvement in problem solving and creative thinking, and continuingly show more comprehensive and broad uses of technology. According to research released in (2005) regarding The Impact of Laptop Use on Student Achievement stated that, “ reported by Rock man et al. (1997, 1998, 2000), laptop use not only reinforces the utilization of successful learning strategies but also enables students to transfer the knowledge across disciplines.

Both students and teachers can now find facts within seconds. This can be very useful when explaining and debating topics.” As we all know, kids in this day in age have so much power in the palm of their hands they can get any piece of information they need in seconds and they should be able to use that power. Another reason kids should be able to use their smartphones in class is that teachers now are able to create assignments which kids can complete on their phones.
It was in 3rd period in my 10th grade year, when I first experienced school through a different lense. As a project for my health class, my teacher had us make a lesson plan explaining the topic individually assigned to the whole class. It wasn’t until after my presentation that I realized that I’m a very heavy tactile learner. As described in the essay “Knowing the Learner” by Gayle Gregory and Carolyn Chapman, a tactile learner learns best from handling materials, being involved, and writing or drawing. In my project, I put myself in the students shoes and made a lesson plan that I would have wanted presented to me.
Everything became on tablets and laptops like books, so students will take to schools only tablets or laptops instead of carrying a bag. For example, in many schools they have stopped giving lectures in books and started using active boards because they are easier to write on. Students are obliged to study on these devices or unless they will fail their course. Education is important for each person on earth and at the same time they will achieve their goals that they have in mind. However, these devices diverts children in the classroom whether by texting or playing games.
