A healthy lifestyle is a living choice which maximize the state of wellness and decrease the risk of illness and premature death. Definitions from World Health Organization’s (WHO), health are a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Meanwhile wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence. We live in an ever changing world, where technology make a vast advancement throughout centuries, however the health issue among Malaysian adults have not seen positive change. The elaborations of this paper will merely focus on three challenges in managing healthy lifestyle and three ways to reduce the problems due to the challenges.
Juggling between work, studies and personal life, keeping ourselves healthy rarely makes into our “to do list”. Convenience is at a premium as the adults are too busy making a living. People tend to make poor selection of food by opting for fast food or instant noodles as it promises full tummy within minutes. We fail to make sure that our diet are well balanced and will resulting in consuming more food than our body actually needs . Ignoring the fact that the nutrition is not enough to support our daily routine and eventually lead to illnesses.
