Is the online education taking over the traditional campus education system? In today’s world we often hear the phrase education is the key to opportunities. There is no doubt that education is becoming the fastest growing business in our society. We hear on a daily basis the advertisement of a new school or an online university which is all aimed at providing individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to survive in this competitive world. As the scriptures say “Lack of knowledge my people perish”. Education has become an imperative duty we owe to ourselves and our posterity. In our quest to provide the gift and blessings of education, we are faced with several which can sometimes become difficult to choose from. In this paper, we are going to explore the options in details. The first we will discuss is the Online education. Online? What is it? In the basic sense of the word, online is primarily used in refereeing to the internet. Online education as the name implies, requires students to have access to a computer and an internet connection. The study materials, quizzes and exams are all taken behind a computer and submitted via the internet. Online education has become more popular in today’s fast paced society. This option education allows students to take courses from the comfort of their homes, without having to travel to the campus for lectures or other things pertaining to the traditional way of campus education. The second is the hybrid option.
