Many types of animals have been taken into our homes as per and they are enjoyed by both young and old alike. But are they really worth having? One point in favour of owning a pet is that they can be great companions for those who live alone, such as the elderly. What is more, having a dog around the house, for example, can give a greater sense of security. Also, young children usually love animals and giving them the opportunity to look after them can teach them to become more responsible.
