As we all know, success in school can lead to success in life. Although school may not necessarily determine a person’s future, it can often decide where it might go. Students today continue to gain many advantages when it comes to school: the many vigorous and intelligent teachers, advanced technology, strong academic assistance, and the arising educational opportunities. One of the numerous advantages includes Advanced Placement courses. These courses are very important in society; they can lead to opportunities of success in the future. Advanced Placement courses grant students the chance to earn college credits, which saves time and money. At most colleges, students who take Advanced Placement classes, and pass their exams with a score of three and higher, can earn credit that goes towards introductory college courses in the same subject as the Advanced Placement classes. However, even if a student does not pass their exam/s, taking the course/s provides preparation for college-level material at an early age, allowing for the familiarity with the subject. These classes are especially beneficial for families struggling to pay fees because students are learning college-based education without paying for the college tuition. Some students who take Advanced Placement courses and pass their exams are even able to skip their entire first year of college, thus cutting the entire cost of their college education by a quarter. Advanced Placement courses reinforce a student’s deposition, accommodate students’ college achievements, and enhance a student’s college acceptance opportunities; the possible opportunities these classes provide are limitless. Additionally, these courses give students the fundamentals of a college-based education, and a hands-on experience on dealing with college courses. The course curriculum is definitely arduous, and the courses are rather demanding, but it is worth it in the long run.
