Attending preschool is a must as a preparation for children before they enroll in kindergarten.
Early childhood education is a debatable topic among society. The concern is mainly on whether it is important or not enrolling children under-age to school. Some parents think that registering their children in preschool will only decrease their quality time with their kids. However, many people say preschool has a lot of advantages for children, especially during their growing period.
At the growth phase, children really need to be guided, because they literally follow what people around them do. Therefore, it is important to show them how to have a good behavior. Moreover, children are superb at memorizing things. Therefore, it is the right time to teach them the basic knowledge of academic. In order to prevent children get wrong lessons, parents can utilize preschool as their choice. Preschool is a tool to introduce children both socially and academically thing at the same time.

Kids will learn how to adapt to new people and new environment, and they will know how to cooperate with others through their learning process. It is important for them to find friends at their age, get along with other children, so they could find their social self. Especially for shy kids, these activities can help them to get over their introvert tendency. There is nothing as beneficial as being ready for school from a young age. Fortunately, the National Head Start Association gives young people and their families an opportunity to develop and grow. Young people from the age of five get the chance to develop their cognitive, social, and emotional skills, which ultimately prepares them for the challenges that inevitably lie ahead. The benefits of this program are monumental; for instance, young children get the opportunity to develop their language and literacy skills. Such children ultimately enjoy school and proceed to make a meaningful impact in their societies.
Kindergarten a class for young children, usually between the ages of four and six to prepare them for primary education also know as a garden of children. (dictionary.reference.com) We were all there at one point, some of us were more prepared than others. Head Start programs are so important to children because it gives them an advance on what they will need learn.
The purpose of this research was to observe children who attended the Head Start REDI program and compare them to children who did not attend Head Start REDI. The researchers purposed the question: does the Head Start REDI program have an effect on a child’s social-emotional functioning? 356 children between the ages of 2-5 were selected in 25 head start centers in the state of Pennsylvania with the majority of the children living in poverty. The majority of the children were girls (54%) with boys being 46% of the children. I've always thought to myself, is childcare really that important? Do we as staff at a childcare facility really make that much of a difference in lives around our communities? Over the last year or so I’ve managed to prove to myself that childcare really is important and it benefits peoples everyday lives. Childcare is important because we all play a big role in children’s and their parents lives.
In the article “Why Pre-K Is Critical to Closing the Achievement Gap,” by Ellen Frede and W. Steven Barnett provides an overview of the problems in the U.S education system. According to the statistics and researches the U.S education system has a lot of problems compare to some other country such as Finland, Shanghai, Singapore and Norway. The achievement gap is a complex and controversial issue because all pre-school program are not the same and this diversity create a lot of achievement gap in the U.S education system. Jor’dan, Kathy Goetz Wolf and Anne Douglass talk about the importance of the family engagement in early childhood education. This article give as an overview about the Strengthening Families Illinois Program, a successful program that provide and encourage the importance of relationship between kids and families.
There are many types of schools education stages. From the age 0-5 your child can attend pre-school and nursery, including day nurseries. During my time at placement I was given the role of a Nursery Assistant; My duties were to plan and prepare activities for children, read stories, nappy change them, observe and make notes for use in their reports. I was also a key worker for one child, I had to monitor their progress and share information about their development with their parents and carers. The setting was a warm and welcoming environment, I found that all of the staff were very friendly and reassuring. The placement lasted for four weeks and I worked from Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 5:30PM. On my first day I arrived at 10AM for my induction and was introduced by the manager of the setting to the other members of staff.
Preschool education is an extremely important start to a young child’s overall success in their early educational years and later life. Parents should supply their children with the best possible resources for them to grow up strong and successful. Children get a chance to enhance their knowledge, physical skills, and social/emotional skills in a pre-K environment. These are skills that they will use for the rest of their lives.
The important reason to makes a good and professional early childhood educator is to communicate with children and try to understand them. I did not have any working experience in kindergarten, but I have some experience of taking care of a child due to my mother is a babysitter.
