People tend to hate the fact they have to workout to stay in shape. People go to classes to try to make working out fun and effective at the same time. They also tend to go to these classes to try to motivate themselves because they can not workout by themselves consistently. A fun effective sport/activity is swimming. Swimming helps people lose weight, stay in shape, and can be done for fun. A person can continue to swim laps at a slow steady pace and they will still be able to burn calories. A major downside of swimming is that a person must know how to swim before they can start. Swimming has multiple different advantages long-term and short-term that help people in various different ways. Swimming is a sport done competitively. It is also a activity done for fun. While younger people do it for fun, older people participate in swimming to improve their health. When someone is swimming properly they are working their entire body. While it is a team sport it is also a individual sport. How is that so? In some events a swimmer will complete their races alone competing against their own team mates and other competitors. While in other events a swimmer will have to compete with other teammates in a relay. A relay is when there is four swimmers at the starting block. The first person in line will wait until the whistle is blown to dive into the water, once that swimmer has finished their laps, the next swimmer will wait for them to touch the wall in order to jump in and so and so forth. In big events when a team comes together, swimmers will place individually and as a team. In this sport people learn how to work together as a team, and learn how to accomplish things alone.
