In this reading the learner read the text to get knowledge or analysis. The goal of this reading is to read shorter text. This reading is done to carry out to get specific information. Learner reads book to acquire knowledge is the kind of intensive reading. Intensive reading will provide a basis for explaining difficulties of structure and for extending knowledge of vocabulary and idioms. It will also provide material for developing greater control of the language in speech and writing. (2) Extensive Reading Material for extensive reading will be selected at a lower level of difficulty than that for intensive reading. The purpose of extensive reading will be to train the student to read directly and fluently in the target language for enjoyment, without the aid of the teacher. The goal of this activity was to build students reading skills by working them through the subject and allowing them to discuss amongst each other any information that relates to the subject of the reading. It is also intended to help the students think as they read. This helped enable the students understand the subject of the reading, offer their own insight, and identify words more easily. This will also allow students to identify new words and will increase their ability with word identification and reading skills.
1.3 Explain the impact of adolescent development on a young persons thoughts, feelings and behaviours. During puberty the body will go through many changes and a young person will start to become more aware of their body and their personal appearance. As they go through these changes a young person will also try to find their identity but still want to fit in with their peers which may have an influence on their likes and dislikes. They will also become more sensitive to their feelings being highly emotional/upset or easily frustrated over minor issues.
