Sulphur dioxide that makes air toxic is produced by the burning of coal in everyday normal activities that make the smoke produced by factories, cars and of burning wood. Abnormalities like global warming and acid rain are caused by the release of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases to the air. This is not only causing environmental degradation but it also has a huge effect of the human health. It can cause a noticeable increase in respiratory problems like asthma and lung cancer. By breathing contaminated air,
1 INTRODUCTION Environmental pollution is one of the worldwide growing threats to human health and natural resources. One major cause of environmental degradation is air pollution due to natural and manmade sources. The main impacts of air contaminants include ground- level ozone, acid rains, greenhouse effect, climate change, ozone layer depletion and adverse health hazards. Benzene and toluene are organic compounds found in indoor air as a result of emissions from burning coal and oil, some household products which contain petroleum based chemicals like glues, paints, etc. Outdoor sources are like gasoline vapors at gasoline service stations, motor vehicle exhaust, emissions from industrial sources utilizing benzene and toluene, etc.
Air pollution is dangerous to the way we live because it’s harmful chemicals that are oils gasses and other chemicals. Air pollution is controversial because people believe that it’s still out there harming the way we live and harming the planet. Industrialized countries have worked to reduce levels of sulfur dioxide, smog, and smoke in order to improve people's health. Volcanic eruptions from volcanos is also endangering the life style by balking the sun and putting out ash and smoke. Motor vehicles – cars, trucks and SUVs – account for about half the air pollution in the United States air pollution is chemicals in the air that are produced by motor cars and all the chemical plants such as gas plants, oil plants and landfills.there were other
France-3 Minister for Energy Introduction The pollution of the air is a major challenge that has a negative impact on everyone. There are various types of pollutants. Besides, the many ways to group pollutants, for instance, pollutants can be classified according to the distance in which their adverse effects are felt. Basing on this classification, there are pollutants that affect the global and local ecology. Some of the pollutants that affect local ecology include; emission of carbon (II) dioxide from cars, cigarette smoke.
Like: Water pollution, thermal pollution, etc. Pollution can cause many, many harmful effect to life. At first it's the global warming and greenhouse effect. Greenhouse effect is the phenomenon when the ozone layer has been destroy by Co2 that human create it is the starter for causing global warming. Global warming is the phenomenon the earth being hotter because people cause air pollution and the harmful gas in the atmosphere increase so that the heat increase too.
The other environment problem caused by air pollution is global warming. The mean cause of global warming is burning fossil fuels which lead the emission of carbon dioxide. Based on this situation it can result in rising sea level and increasing the temperature of the world. Furthermore, it could also lead to extreme weather such as drought and
• Respiratory and lung problems-when pollution levels are very high and have the potential to cause respiratory, lung, heart and cancer. There has been reported cases of mortality from direct and indirect effect of air pollution. Pneumonia and asthma is most common in children. • Acid rain – the burning of fossil fuels release nitrogen and sulphur oxide, which are known to be very harmful gasses. Their presents in the air can cause acid rain when it
Human Influence on the Environment Air Pollution Air Pollution is when a poisonous or a harmful substance is released in the air. There are many form of pollution but air is one of them, it only occurs when dust, harmful gases or smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it hard for species like plants, animals and humans to live in a difficult situation because of the dirty air.Air Pollution is classified in two sections, invisible air pollution and visible air pollution.. Hence any substance that makes it difficult for the living things that need the atmosphere is air pollution.Humans have been undergoing air pollution ever since the industrial revolution. In order to understand the causes of Air pollution, it is divided into divisions.
CHAPTER 6 . ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ANALYSIS 6.1. Impacts of Environmental pollution: Various impacts of environmental pollutions are listed below. a. Emissions from natural gas combustion and raw cement burning can cause negative effects on public health and lead to degradation of the surrounding environment.
Air pollution happens when gases, smoke and dust occur in the atmosphere making it dangerous and hazardous to all living species. The atmosphere serves the earth with protection. Without the atmosphere, it would be impossible to live. Pollutants are the matters that cause air pollution; there are two types of pollutants, primary and secondary pollutants. Primary pollutants are particles that are pumped into the air making it filthy and unclean.
