In the 1930’s, criminals were viewed inadequate from the public. The public’s perception on these inadequate criminals was that they wanted death penalties for them. Furthermore, the police prohibited people from drinking alcohol. Because of prohibition, organized crime has become terribly and extremely increased such as bank robbery, drug trafficking, kidnapping, and gambling. More than 12,000 murders were happening every year in America by 1926. People became more violent as they fought over alcohol. While other people in the public started to become a lot more engaged and interested in all of the protests and violent mobs in cities.

He was shot by the FBI. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. When John was just three years old, his mother died of a stroke. His father, John Wilson Dillinger, was left to raise his son and daughter, Audrey until he got remarried in 1912. As a student, John’s grades were perfect. Meaning, he had straight A’s and was an outstanding athlete. Around the age of 16, John quit school and eventually got involved with a young gang. John was charged with stealing coal from carts that belonged to the Railroad. He was only in sixth grade when he was taken to court for his first offense. When John was serving eight years in prison, he was then later, paroled from prison. Immediately after getting out of prison, John robbed a bank in Ohio. John was finally arrested again on September 22. In Washington, J. Edgar Hoover assigned Samuel Cowley to investigate John Dillinger. Cowley was outside a theatre where Dillinger, Anna Sage, and Polly Hamilton was. As Dillinger and his two companions walked outside the theatre, Dillinger saw Sam and realized that Sam was an agent and reacted quickly. Dillinger then pulled his pistol out and began shooting. The three FBI agents shot 5 bullets toward Dillinger and only three of those shots hit Dillinger. Dillinger then fell down to the ground and approximately at 10:30 p.m., Dillinger was pronounced
