For our family feud assignment, we had the option to choose out of 10 people that had a feud with someone. I decided to choose Al Capone and Bugs Moran. Yes they aren’t family, but it was a very big feud that did happen in the past. I decided to choose Al Capone and Bugs Moran because I thought that their feud was very interesting. In the next three paragraphs I will explain the cause, the outcome, and who was affected during their feud.
First, the cause of their feud was because of the two gangs, that split Chicago in half, were bootlegging and selling illegal liquor to the public. The two were trying to out due each other and trying to get more power, that it cause damage to Chicago and the people involved. It got so out of hand that they started fighting. Moran would continuously call Capone, “Scarface” and “Grease Ball” to the press. He would go and do drive by shootings at Capone’s cars and businesses. Then to top it all off they both had each other’s buildings that they owned burned to the ground. Moran was so brutal that he captured Capone’s men and tortured them before killing them. This was the cause of the feud.

Valentine’s Day Massacre. The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre was described as one of the most bloodiest killings in Chicago history. This occurred on February 14, 1229, at 10 o’clock in the morning, when five of Moran’s people and two more that were tied with the gang were in Lincoln Park where they were lined up by two of Al Capone’s men that were dressed like police to trick them. Then the seven of Moran’s men were shot over 200 times by Tommy guns. A couple of them were almost in half because of all of the shots. The police had arrived and it was reported that it was the goriest murder that those police had ever seen, it was also a shock to the news as well. But surprisingly no one was ever convicted for all of the murders. This was the end of the
From the information we have gathered states that there was a little bit of tension occurring between Bugs’ gang and Al Capone. Moran has been jailed over three total times and went to a juvenile correction center twice. The majority of Moran’s crimes have been robberies. For example, he was once caught robbing a freight train car. Moran’s gang also has been attacked

They battled for years over their control of liquor in speakeasies and making more money than the other. Capone's men were armed with tommy guns and shotguns and the real police officers found 80 bullets on the ground in the garage. ”They crumpled and fell, shot thru by dozens of bullets. Frank Gusenberg(Morans Henchman) died in a hospital a short time later,
Although most of Capone's competition eventually gave-up (or were shot dead), Bugs Moran was still causing "Big Al" a great deal of trouble. As a result, Capone devised a plan to get rid of Moran, too. On the morning of St. Valentine's Day, 1929, Bugs Morgan was late for a meeting at his warehouse. Waiting for a shipment of whiskey, his men were already there.
He also took down his rivals and rival gangs to expand his territory. Al Capone was a rising name (Al
The Underworld In the underworld, life is absolute misery. It is definitely not the ideal place to travel to after death. Luckily, the only people designated to go to the underworld are the ones who truly deserve it. For example, Jeffrey Dahmer and Al Capone would spend all of eternity there, but they would not be placed in the same section of the underworld.

The plan was to get a bootlegger to lure Bugs Moran and his gang to a back alley where Capone 's men would dress like police officers and take the gangs guns then open fire and kill everyone. Just one small hiccup. Bugs Moran saw the Cop car before anyone else and ran away before capone 's men could kill him. Capone being smart planned his vacation and left when this was happening but the police and the media knew it was his planning. This made Capone famous.
Capone knew of his and had lookouts across the street. One of them thought they saw Moran himself and told the other members who were nearby. They arrived in a police car and police uniforms and pretended to be raiding the warehouse. They “lined the seven men inside up against a brick wall, and then raked them with machine-gun fire and shotgun blasts” but to bystanders, with the men in uniform, it seemed like it was normal police action during an arrest (Morrow). He was never
Two of the men, dressed as police and pretending to conduct an ordinary raid, entered the garage and lined the associates of Irish gang boss George “Bugs” Moran’s up against the wall. Two others in civilian clothes followed with machine guns and, along with the “police,” opened fire on the seven men, pounding seventy bullets into them in what became known as the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. The murders were never pinned on Capone, who claimed to be in Florida at the time. When public relief funds became scarce in Chicago during the Great Depression, Capone, playing up his sense of community, fed three thousand unemployed per day. In six weeks, he donated twenty thousand meals at a cost of $12,000.
He started his bootleg business very young, he started to build up his business to become more successful This did cause some of his men to die or get injured very bad. Al Capone and his men did not cooperate with the police. But they did not care Al Capone was the best man there was in there eyes. They also did not want to get on his bad side. If they did they were destined to die.
