The song All By Myself has a similar theme statement with the poem Alone written by Maya Angelou. It portrays a man who suffers from the pain of loneliness and isolation and conveys a message that humans are inherently social beings. The lyrics ' 'Some- times I feel so insecure/ And love so distant and obscure. ' ' demonstrate the fact that loneliness is a serious issue which can create a persistent, self-reinforcing loop of negative thoughts, behaviors and sensations. In addition, the repetition of ' 'All by myself/ Don 't want to be, all by myself anymore. ' ' is resemble with the repetition of ' 'But nobody/Can make it out here alone.
