It was interesting to be that architects and artist are working together to analyzes and study the body of waters together. They are studying the data of how the bodies of waters are decreasing in size, showing erosion occurring. In the video they are designing three-dimensional surfaces by using computers and then using marble to create the masterpieces. By these architects and artists are analyzing, studying the data and creating art they can see the changes in the world. I believe art is used to physically show what others believe and show how we express who we are, by using personal expression. Along with that, I believe art can tell and show a story and what the outcome can be through choices that we have made. Lorenzetti painting, The Allegory of Good Government, and Allegory of bad Government, shows what the outcomes will be in the choices that are made by the people. These paintings went in great details of how the government needed to be in order to be a healthy government. It showed wisdom, punishment, equality among the different levels of society, peace and virtues. The purposes and the functions of art all work together to make art wonderful and
How did the arts in the Harlem Renaissance lead to social change? Close your eyes, imagine that you are isolated from society, not from choice but because everybody else has dictated that you are an outcast of society and should not be an important part of society, you do not matter, your life is terrible. What if you and other people who have been isolated by society gathered and created forms of entertainment that helped and the people that you have met to get through the hard times and unites all of the people who are being isolated too. Now open your eyes, this is the start of the Harlem Renaissance.
Art is how an artist expresses their own emotion in their artwork. Artwork can express more than just emotion, it can be used as a memorial, awareness, and even art movement. Art movements are very powerful when used correctly. Art movements are created in different medium in art. Elizabeth Sisco has done a graphic design of Chicano movement.
In this assignment, I have chosen to analyze the two art pieces that I liked the most. The first is Hay Making, by Jules Bastien-Lepage, and the second is Thanatopsis, by Asher Brown Durand. Both pieces are take place in nature, and it is because of this that I enjoy them more so than others. To me being out in nature is
Art from the natural world were made back in the day by indigenous people. Indigenous people or our ancestors used natural materials in order to create works of art. Babylonian Traits of the Ishtar Gate Artwork means more than what one may see at first glance. There can be hidden meanings of the past or even hints of what their society was like. Each piece of art has something special including traits of the civilization; these traits are seen throughout history. With these traits we can tell what society we are looking at and experience the civilization 's unique culture. An example of a great piece of artwork contributing to society would be the Ishtar Gate in Babylon, this gate is very important within the Babylonian culture and expresses what their society treasured and valued along with the traits that this society had.

He was drawn to the most dramatic sides of nature, such as waterfalls, chasms, holes, storms, the fury of weather, and the balance of light and dark. Nature’s life cycles became a metaphor to him for the human condition. All of his paintings are meant to tell stories about life and nature. He captured the sense of wilderness and the power of land that hasn’t been explored by humans. He loved nature and cared deeply for the health of the environment, not wanting negative consequences for the landscapes he painted.
However, the depiction of humans in the landscape are painted so minuscule that a viewer could easily miss them at first glance. To me, this conveys the idea of nature’s power and its dominance over man. Perhaps, this painting is be used to push the point of the

The artwork that I have chosen to visually analyze is Town of Harrisonburg, VA by Emma Lyon Bryan. It was created in 1867 and is an oil on canvas painting. This artwork is located in the Duke Hall Gallery of Fine Art at James Madison University and is around 36” long and 24” high. This piece is a depiction of what Harrisonburg looked like in 1867. Bryan’s artwork is held in a wooden glass frame with a gold border and displays the buildings of the town, dirt roads, open land, mountains, and many other small details.
My initial thought of the piece was that she was creating a scene encompassing the changing of seasons and how they flow from one to another, parallel to that of a stream. Patiently, over time, this piece’s identity began to morph into a more complex ideology. The theme that Sakoto Fujikasa is expressing through her piece is to show how the encompassment of life is comprised of the various emotions we express and sense.
While these changes could have been viewed as negative, the artist chose to see them as beautiful. He chooses everyday to believe that what nature does to his sculptures not only makes them remarkable, but completes the
