1. Introduction 1.1 To evaluate the hypoglycemic effect of ethanolic extract of Allium sativum on diabetes induced Albino Rats: Allium Sativum: Its common name is garlic. Human use it since 7000 years .Its origin is Asia Africa Europe. It grow up to 1.2 meter in height .Its flowers are hermaphrodite and pollinated by insects. It belongs to kingdom Plantae ,family Amaryllidacea , sub family Allioideae, Genus Allium, Species A.sativum. Its Binomial name is Allium sativum . It grows in mild climates .It is cultivates by individual planting of cloves in the ground ,It planted in autumn before soil freezes harvest in spring . Take 100 gram of fresh garlic bulbs peeled it and convert it into small pieces with the help of pestle and mortar. In this way you will get 34.8% yield then homogenize it 100 ml of cold and sterile 0.9% NaCl solution. Then blend it in blender at high speed for fifteen minutes. Then filter it three times Store it minus 20 degree Celsius .From this solution different dilutions can be prepared by using 0.9% solution. Animals: Take male albino rat 220-250 gram having age at least 2months old. Place them in animal house and supply it pellet diet and tap water. Animals are grouped in a number four. Each of the group contains 8 rats. Diabetes induced by injecting streptozocin bt introperitonial route of dose 60mg/kg . by dissolving it 0.9% normal saline solution. Diabetes was induced in two groups and remaing two as control group. Controlled group of rats was given only saline solution, while treated controlled animals was given with garlic extract at dose of 100mg/kg. This procedure was continued for three days. And continued till 8weeks. Weight before and after treatment disbetes checked by serum glucose
