As a bisexual Latino photographer, these clubs captivate my interest because they target the core areas that make up my own identity. During my journey at Vanderbilt, I will remain open minded to any positive outside influences that life is willing to bring to me. Although my college journey is by no means definite, Vanderbilt and its community of students and teachers will always be there to guide me towards my path of becoming an intellectually competent, loving, creative, and curious

The Jewish Teen Board provides an opportunity for me to give to the community, to learn more about the causes I am passionate about (especially environmental stewardship, feminism and helping those with special needs), and to meet other teens with similar values. When I graduate university, I want a career that is not just a source of income but also is meaningful to me. I discovered by joining my school 's DECA team that I really enjoy learning about business and marketing, and may wish to open a business one day. If I do so, I would want to either start a business affiliated with a non-profit organization. Jewish Teen Board would teach me how non-profit organizations really run, what it 's like to work for a non-profit, and how
I think I would be a good candidate to attend the Summer Senior program because my goal to attend USC after graduating from high school. This opportunity will allow me to experience life as a college student, while learning to navigate through the admissions process at USC. Being a part of the Summer Seniors program will help me to learn what it takes to be a successful student, prepare me substantially in my transition from being a high school student to a college student and help me discover what Carolina has to offer. The Summer Senior program will also help me to decide if this is the right path for me. I will develop and build upon my networking skills while meeting new peers who share the similar interests.
Theta Chi Fraternity is a social fraternity focused on providing its members with a fulfilling collegiate experience that also prepares them for successful lives after graduation. As the scholarship chair for the Gamma Chi Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity, I was responsible for the academic success of the chapter. To accomplish this goal, I developed a scholarship program for fostering GPA increases in our membership. Additionally, I monitored the academic success of each brother and worked with individuals to improve their academic
During my high school career I have made a consistent effort to stay involved in both my school and community. Through clubs such as Key Club, National Art Honor Society, and National Honor Society I’ve been able to help out locally and globally in an abundance of ways. In Key club and NHS I am able to volunteer in traditional ways, but National Arts Honors Society allows me to contribute to my community and school in a creative way that stimulates people 's minds through art. Due to these activities having a significant impact on my life my future career options are based around what I have learned from them.
During a recent visit, I was attracted to the spirit of the campus. More importantly, as I spoke to several students, they talked about the strong relationship between the students and professors. Being a potential business major, I was excited to read that “UCF is the cornerstone within the foundation of Orlando’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.” Beyond the school’s renowned academic programs, UCF offers me a chance to be in a comfortable environment where I fit in. If I were fortunate enough to get accepted into UCF, I would be very excited to become an active ambassador for the surf club/team.
The main reason is stated above, to meet and connect with people. I firmly believe that connections are a very important part of being a composer for film and game, and it is necessary to have the skill set of befriending people as your companion. It is a win-win situation for the club members and me. If I get to meet someone outside the club, who actually works at the scene, I can introduce him/her to the club, where we share our information. Not only that, we can teach each other what we lack at.
Outside of my sorority, I am involved in a few different things. I am a Peer Adviser, which has taught me so much about how to make the Northwestern community welcoming, as well as how to discuss difficult topics such as sexual assault and mental health. Helping students work through these sensitive issues and helping them find the resources they need all while navigating the novelty of college life has given me a wide variety of skills that I believe translate directly to sorority life. I also am highly involved in Northwestern’s dance community. I am a member of New Movement Project, a group of dance majors and minors that coordinates dance events and organization for both the dance department and Northwestern’s many dance groups.
I want to become a member of National Honor Society because it will help me enhance my leadership skills, along with other important character qualities such as academic achievement, serving others, and developing my character traits. Becoming a part of National Honor Society will give me opportunities to help and learn more about others. I enjoy volunteering in my free time since it is a way of me giving back to my community, getting to meet new people, and gain more experience. If selected, I will help give back to my community by committing my time to volunteering and fundraising for non-profit organization.
I am Robel Tewelde, a student from the University of South Dakota. You helped me out with a project that I had earlier this year and I was wondering if during the summer is there any help that I can do as a volunteer for the Skyforce or Pentagon. I am from Sioux Falls, and I think this would be a great opportunity for me to use. I am willing to do anything to get a better feel of my major and this would be a great chance to hopefully get more networking experience to help me in the long run. I understand this is the off-season and things mike be limited or nothing to do, but I would look to work with the Skyforce as a home grown kid!
My love for sports, fitness and wellness has developed my inspiration for helping others by becoming an Occupational Therapist. Throughout the years, I have gotten the chance to experience different people healing with the tremendous help of someone working in this profession. I enjoy that part of Occupational
I feel this future plan will give me more experience with being around children and seeing how to create a healthy environment for their education. Needless to say my whole high school career has been put towards becoming a model candidate for a future
The author wrote, “Collectivists (or interdependents or allocentrics) Individuals predisposed to put the group’s goals and needs above their own” (Forsyth, pg. 80). My group is focused on enjoying the volleyball game and to try our best to win against other teams. We are trying to accomplish the goal for our team, not for our own needs. My group exemplified optimal distinctiveness theory by communicating and
