In the novel Brave New World, Aldous Huxley creates this world where there’s a savage reservation and the “New World”. In the “New World,” humans are created through test tubes and have predetermined lives. Sex and drugs are highly promoted and are introduced to the human at their early childhood. They consider Henry Ford as their god basically. In the savage reservation, people are born naturally and have their own beliefs. Although everyone is predestined into their lives, they all have different feelings. Each of these characters are unique in every single way. Bernard and Helmholtz were both created from the Bokanovsky process into Alphas. Even though Bernard and Helmholtz are Alphas they are completely different. Helmholtz is a tall glass of water and outgoing meanwhile Bernard… not so much. Bernard is physically not average for an Alpha, he is short doesn 't like to socialize, boasts himself, and rumors are that he was poisoned by liquor in his blood during the Bokanovsky process. Helmholtz is the ideal alpha, the perfect human in the other world. He does everything right, goes to social events such as obstacle golf and orgy porgy’s. Bernard’s work towards social order is peculiar. Towards the beginning of the book, he hates the way everyone acts and never wanted to become like them. He enjoyed being himself and always boasted himself. He becomes popular after calling out the director and gets caught up in the life he always hated.
