To be consciousness means that you are aware of what is going on in your immediate surroundings. How you feel when you are consciously experiencing something can be altered by the individual or by a psychoactive drug. Drinking and Driving is when a person drinks any amount of alcohol, and they decide to drive a vehicle. A common misconception is that you can only get drunk if you drink a bunch of drinks when in reality you can get drunk from drinking only one drink. Being under the influence applies to anyone that has a blood alcohol level of .08% for civilian drivers, and .04% for commercial drivers. These are only limits for people 21 years of age and up. If you are caught drinking and driving under 21 you will be charged regardless of your Blood alcohol level.
