America’s Gift to My Generation I 'm not going to start this with a quote. Not because i want to go against the crowd or do something different. But because they 're just words. So many people could come up with the same “words of wisdom” and only one gets credit for it. Actions are what really matter. What the men and women who fought and are fighting, they are the ones who gave my generation what we have now. They gave me freedoms some people cant even dream of. They gave my generation so many freedoms. The ones im going to talk about are just some. For instance the freedom to choose. I can choose my job. I can choose what college i go to. I can choose where i live. Some people cant do that. I can choose what haircut i get, whaty cloths
And every immigrant, by embracing these ideals, makes our country more, not less, American.” (George W. Bush Inau) This showed that even though we all have different backgrounds, culture, and religions that does not make a difference in how American we are. We need everyone to come together to resolve our own conflicts. We must work together as one, we must use our differences to our advantage, we must learn from each other's differences, not let them divide us.
When a conflict approaches, how would you overcome it? Everyone responds to conflict in different ways, but there is always the best way to handle it. Many important leaders throughout the history, such as Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Winston Churchill, and Elie Wiesel, all responded to conflict in a similar way. These leaders are all recognized for their courage and bold actions they took during a conflict. They reached out to millions of people hoping for something to be changed.

This freedom that we enjoy is not free, it comes on the back of our servicemembers. They took the risk and rolled the dice and lost. To measure that devotion to our common ideals and freedom is unimaginable.” Finally, we should respect those who serve and have served because battle can change a man.
Everyone has wanted the freedom to make their own choices in life. When making your own decisions there comes a cost as to taking responsibility for those actions. Personal independence can be very difficult at times when making the wrong choice, or it can be very rewarding when an individual is the one making the rights choices for itself. Unfortunately, not everyone in this world is capable of making choices on their own and be able to make decisions on how to live their life, and people who are able to make their own choices take that freedom for granted most of the time. There are so many things that a person can accomplish in life, with making their own choices and having that independence as a human being.

“Sometimes the most profound of awakenings come wrapped in the quietest of moments,” -Stephen Crane This famous quote was said by one of America’s most well-known author named Stephen Crane. Stephen Crane was a bright young author that left a legacy in the world. With his famous writings called “A Mystery of Heroism” and “War is Kind” he shows his audience the hardships and traumas that came with war.
In 1776, Thomas Jefferson wrote the words that still shape America today, “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” These three rights are essential to my life, and America would not be the same without them. For over 240 years, previous Americans have fought so my generation can have these rights. I believe that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are America’s gifts to my generation. Life is a gift bestowed upon us by God and protected by American law.
For example, life, liberty, and "the pursuit of happiness". These rights are called Inalienable Rights these right come with us meaning the rights we were born with. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..., stated article of The National Humanities Center". These rights cannot be taken away from us in any kind of way except when you're dead of course. When a government fails to protect those rights, it is not only the right but the government can also be impeached or overthrown.
Think about your life. How many days have passed without using one of America’s many gifts? I would expect very little or no days as your answer. Without these gifts, life wouldn’t be possible in these days of America. My country has been so generous to give my generation all the gifts that allow me and my generation the gifts to a chance of living a successful life.
When people describe freedom, they usually think of the laws we have to keep our freedom and make this country great. But, freedom isn’t just the laws our government has made to ensure the keeping of peace between all, it’s the past, present, and future of this nation. Freedom isn’t just our laws, though they are a big part of how we live our lives in modern society, but it’s mentality and remembering how it was earned in the first place through knowing what was best for them. The ones who fought for our freedom from Britain are one of the first things that we should think about when we are reminded of freedom in my opinion.
707 “America’s Gift to My Generation” What would we do without our veterans? Veterans sacrificed their lives to protect ours, so we should honor them the best we can. America gave us gifts to our generation. If it wasn’t for them, we might not be here right now as other enemies of ours could have invaded us by now. What would we do without our American heroes who protected our country?
America’s gift to my generation consists of the Declaration of Independence and the First Amendment of the Constitution. The two documents are relevant to american history which impacts our day to day living. The Declaration of Independence is the most significant gift America has given to my generation, because it gave birth to what is known today as the United States of America. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress declared that the thirteen colonies were a new nation, and that the United States of America were no longer part of the British Empire. Two days later on July 4, 1776, Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence, and as a result the date is celebrated as Independence Day.
In reference of the Mississippi Freedom Summer Project of 1964 there was so much violence and hatred. And only the strong and willing stayed even after the violence. The response in why people stayed was because they were close friends. Those who will stuck up with their friends no matter what.
Freedom is the right to do what you want, is right to live where you want, is right to choose the religion that you want and freedom is right to eat, learn, drink what you want. There is one thing that limits our freedom: someone else’s freedom. According to a Boğaziçi University student Arda Seyhan, “We can live free by respecting other people’s freedom. We are living in a community which we all need people around us, we can not just ignore other’s freedom and do what we want to do for our freedom.” We should consider other people's rights.
