American Revolution Turning Point
The American Revolution, also referred to as the American Revolutionary War or the U.S. War of Independence was a conflict that ascended from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the colonial government, which represented the British crown. Scuffles seemed to have been provoked between British troops and colonial militiamen in Lexington and Concord in 1775, which initiated the fortified conflict, due to which the rebels were shadowing a full-scale war for their independence. The American Revolution initially started as a civil war, but led to an international conflict after France intervened & joined the side of the colonists in 1778. The American Revolution seems to be a lot more that just a war for the independence of the nation as it was also a revolt against taxes & the numerous trade regulations that were imposed. The American Revolutionary war was truly one of the 1st modern revolutions, which enjoyed a prevalent popular support from other countries all over the world. It seems to be the first time in history where people fought for the independence of their country in the name of certain universal principles of civil & human rights.
The founding fathers of the United States of America seemed to have wanted to live in a country where the people could make decision for themselves, due to which they were concerned with the future of their country and thus wanted to take numerous steps for its betterment.
