After graduating from college Chris seemed to change. He said things like “an epic journey that would change everything”, that he saw college as “an absurd and onerous duty”, and that heading on this adventure made him feel free “from the stifling world of his parents and peers, a world or abstraction and security and material excess”. Some people may say that Chris had struggles with his family “”From the things he said, you could tell something wasn’t right between him and his family…..””(Krakauer 18). But in reality I think it was something more. I feel like he was done having his family provide for him, ““I'm going to have to be real careful not to accept any gifts from them in the future because they will think they have bought my respect””(Krakauer
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.” ~Plato. In The Chosen by Chaim Potok, every character fights their own battle, whether large or small. Few characters in this novel show compassion towards other ’s suffering with more difficult struggles.
In my geometric character analysis I analyzed Paul and Erik Fisher. Paul and Erik are brother that have a kind of broken relationship. Paul is the main character in the story while Erik seems to be praised by both his parent because of the “Erik Fisher football dream”. Erik seems to be always in the background causing mischief without the parents seeing it while Paul is just trying to get through 7th grade. I made Paul an octagon colored in light blue that fades into an orange.

Redcrosse Knight represents Holiness. He is a knight bearing that bears a symbol of Jesus Christ upon his shield. His holiness contains moral and religious clarity, as he fights deceptive monsters such as Errour (Book 1 #14) on behalf of his lady Una. Una herself is truth. She reminds Redcrosse that his holiness comes from God, not from within, allowing him to out think Errour and eventually destroy her and her babies.
Wonder Friendship is a prominent theme in R.J. Palacio's novel, Wonder. Through Jack Will’s character, Palacio conveys the idea that being friendly is not enough; one must exemplify the qualities of a true friend. By examining Jack's transformation throughout the story, we can understand the significance of empathy, loyalty, and willingness to confront adversity in fostering genuine friendships. From the outset, Jack portrays the growth of genuine friendships through empathy. Initially hesitant, he harbored the same prejudices as his peers towards Auggie, the protagonist with a facial deformity.
“Look, you, sir, a school ahead. The schoolroom is not quite deserted. A solitary child, neglected by his friends, is left there still.” (Horovitz p. 760). This is one of the many important parts of the drama, The Christmas Carol.
Moment Differences In the world, we as a race have struggled with accepting the differences between our fellow-men and whether we actually accept them or merely tolerate them. As a maturing writer, one must evaluate literature to realize how to fully comprehend one's own writing and many other pieces of written works. Ordinary People Term Essay After reading the book; Ordinary People and learning about all of the characters, I’d say I most closely resemble Conrad Jarrett. Conrad has experienced a lot and has faded relationships with people he used to have close relationships with. He lost his brother, tried to commit suicide, he has also been in and out of hospitals. A couple of these ways are similar to me.
In the novel, Ordinary People by Judith Guest, a family goes through the trials of trying to find normalcy after a tragedy strikes. Throughout the story you meet the Jarret family and watch as they progress through the everyday life and the challenges that come with it. Conrad Jarret is an ordinary 17-year-old boy living in Lake Forest, Illinois. Conrad is living with the burden of thinking he is at fault for his brother’s death and blaming himself for the family quandary’s. Conrad, by far, is the most interesting character for the reason that he unquestionably struggles to try to find what he defines as a “normal” life.
