An English Rock Band: The Beatles

Almost fifty years after his death, Elvis still influences artist. Following Presley is one of the very bands his influence helped create, The Beatles. The Beatles consisted of Paul McCartney, Ringo Star, John Lennon, and George Harrison. The Beatles first album, Please Please Me, released in 1963.

Formed in 1960, The Beatles were one of the most famous rock groups to this day. The Beatles consisted of four group members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. In the beginning, The Beatles were playing in clubs in Hamburg, Germany until they returned to Liverpool where they were noticed by Brian Epstein, their soon to be manager, in November of 1961. This sparked their decade long impact that they made on music from the 1960’s to today. The Beatles’ style was of significant importance to the evolution of music.

The Beatles is a music band that I grew up listening to. I was really excited to know that the band was an option for this essay. I enjoyed hearing and seeing the Beatles all throughout my life. They were a well known band and very popular in my era. The first and last time I ever saw them live was in Santa Cruz sometime in the ninety’s.
