It is necessary for a teacher to have the students organized and transitions smoothly, but all the other little details, if thought of, help to make for a great lesson. A strong, outstanding teacher must manage the class efficiently and have some level of structure. An outstanding teacher needs to be able to analyze data, set goals, but most importantly have an inner drive to learn more, achieve the goal, and constantly adapt and do better. Teaching is changing quickly, so we must change with it. We need to learn how the students learn and teach in that way.

When considering the importance and even the significant of effective lesson planning, quite often we immediately considering the benefits that this can have on the student. Effective lesson planning certainly does benefit the student, discussed later in this essay. This means an effective class and raised teaching standard which in-turn improves the overall motivation of the teacher.
Holistic teaching focuses on preparing the learner to meet any challenges they may face in life and within a work setting. They can learn about themselves, develop resilience and develop social and emotional development. A learner who feels confident and valued will be more able to absorb new knowledge and apply to real work settings and is more likely to continue their studies when they see it affecting them in a meaningful way. If as an assessor you are mindful to the learner as an individual and take into account their learning style and abilities it aids you in tailoring your teaching manner and methods that give all the best chance of success. It is good to show they are being stretched and challenged and evidence this in their feedback to aid their professional
According to Zakrzewski (2012), teachers are always under the scrutiny of the educational system. Hence, teachers and administrators must work together so that a happy and healthy culture in schools premises is established. Although positive relationships are not created overnight, the effort will be worth it. When teachers and school staff are able to collaborate effectively, it will lead to a better education for the students (Zakrzewski, 2012). Teacher to teacher relationship is also important.
SMART goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. Have them tell you their goals and give them both positive and negative (if it’s not a SMART goal) feedback like “You’re going to accomplish all your goals, but wouldn’t you want to include the date by when you would want to accomplish it by?” Next, to assess or evaluate each activity, teachers should see if students are engaged and eager to learn more. If students are enjoying the activities, they will participate and want to keep on learning. If students are not engaged in the activity that is intended to improve motivation, try to incorporate something they like and give students choices of what they would like to do. In conclusion, motivation and affect should be improved within students in the classroom.
1.5 Kohn’s Student Directed Learning Theory Kohn’s student-directed learning theory is an approach to the classroom management which may be particularly effective in the modern classroom environment. Student-directed learning will keep students motivated and teaches them to cooperate with each other sharing responsibilities and functions within their community. Kohn believes that the ideal classroom emphasizes on curiosity and cooperation above all, and that the student’s curiosity should determine what is taught. "Skillful educators tap students ' natural curiosity and desire to become competent. In a learning environment, teachers want to help students engage with what they are doing to promote deeper understanding" (Kohn, 1997c).
The three personal beliefs I choose are respect others, accountability, and truth. I believe my personal beliefs would benefit students not only in school, but also in everyday life. Respecting others is essential for students in developing relationships with peers and teachers. Students who learn to respect each other and authority will develop into productive citizens. It not only allows them to respect others, but also to respect themselves and to make good choices.

Rules are significant because they help install academic integrity and scholarly values into students. Time spent establishing and reviewing policies for the classroom is not instruction time wasted, being that without the policies implemented the instruction will likely have little value because the students are not being managed properly to instill proper learning. When developing rules, I feel as if it is necessary to include student input. While I think this is only beneficial to an extent and to have the teacher as the executive decision maker, I think it is vital to my classroom management plan. For students to be able to collaborate in the rulemaking process shows that their voices are not only heard but valued in your classroom, which provides them with an enriching environment.
