In the development of a child into a youth creative arts plays an important role in fostering creativity and education geared towards the development of a whole nation. It is very sad that people have this wrong notion about arts as a profession being mediocre or inferior. According to (Wangboje 1990: 7–10), arts is the main foundation on which our life and human existence holds. We are all basically consumers of arts because the furniture around as, the houses we live in, the clothes we were and the flowers and lights we use for decoration are all products of arts. The ability to tell if a painting or graffiti is nice or not balls down to our experience in creative arts being it as an art person or a viewer. Therefore, it is genuine to say that without the products of art, the human environment cannot exist.

Global statistics of culture and creative arts show that in countries that create very good policies for its growth and development, and execute the policies with great efficiency and efficiency, creative arts contributes substantially to their respective economies. As reported in 2013 by the National Endowments for the Arts(NEA), arts and cultural production contributed $704.2 billion to the United States economy. $44.5 billion of this amount was contributed by performing art services in Ghana. Although both writers share a strong view point of everyone being educated in the arts and both incorporate strong uses of logos and pathos in their writings, Ungar’s article shows great usage of ethos while Murray’s essay lacks in that element. Ungar and Murray both incorporate a valid basis of logic stating how important it is to know as much about liberal-arts as possible grounded with factual information. Ungar assimilates the logical reasoning with his own personal views of how advantageous studying the arts in college are supported with research from actual heads of corporation. Ungar goes on by proclaiming the liberal arts as the best choice to qualify for a career education with validation from a president.
In the text, Dana states his argument by saying that Americans are losing interest in the arts and literature. Dana supports his arguments by using the 2002 survey of public participation in Arts with additional consensus similar to this, recites the quote of a known author and uses parallelism like “imagination, creativity and high order of thinking.” The main idea or purpose is to draw attention to this problem and to try to fix it because it will pose a serious danger for the future.
