An Unforgettable Teen Idol David Cassidy did what most American teen boys would like to do. He became a teen idol and had thousands of teenage girls madly in love with him. However becoming a teen idol is a big responsibility because you can get so caught up in all of the madness that you lose sense of who you really are. Another thing that makes teen idols vulnerable is that all of their popularity can disappear as quickly as it began. David Cassidy had his day in the sun but as all teenage boys do he grew up and even though he tried to stay popular and talented he never achieved the stardom of other rockers such as Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen. The Partridge Family albums sold more than a million copies each in the U.S. and all over the globe. David Cassidy stood out from the rest and when his solo career took off he also started touring. The Partridge Family Albums Released in 1970 their very first album was titled The Partridge Family Album and included their popular hit “I Think I Love You” Other popular songs on the album were “I Really Want to Know You” and “To Be Lovers”. The next album was Up to Date released in February 1971 and included two hits “I’ll Meet You Halfway” and “Doesn’t Somebody Want to Be Wanted”. Their third album Sound Magazine was released in August 1971. The song which became a hit from the album was “I Woke Up in Love This Morning”. Two other songs worth listening to were “Brown Eyes” and “Summer Days”.
