My research consisted of task analysis, mood board, internet shop survey and product analysis.
My mood board showed me what trends where most popular in the 60s. Moreover, it gave me an idea what colours was most used. The theme for my mood board was based on The Swinging Sixties. I mostly looked at vibrant bold colours and look at what techniques where used in the making of the product such as tie dying, embroidery, applique and block printing. The mood board helped me find information like what my target audience would be aimed at and style features.
My task analysis showed me organise what my target market is going to be, my price for my garment, and what colour my products is going to be. It also was a structured way to know what my design brief was what y research plan was and what I aim to produce and include in the garment. These factors can include size range, price, colour, fabric/material and gender. That way to avoid mixing the sick individuals from the underclass with the middle class individuals who were obviously more educated and taking advantage of the prosperous era.
