This passage from “Me Talk Pretty One Day” by David Sendaris, speaks to me a lot personally because of the truthfulness of this portion in particular. The author describes as clear as he can that language, just like anything else does not come all at once. In fact, it is not always the words spoken that make language an art, it can simply just be understanding the words someone says.
