This book isn’t just about romance it’s about life, this book is so intense I felt that I was in that book living in the characters shoes. You can feel the pain, you can feel the joy. This book might make you cry or it might just make you laugh. Whatever happens, I believe you will enjoy it. In conclusion I recommend this outrageous piece of literature you call “If I Stay”.
I, personally, enjoyed this book and would recommend to anyone who was looking for a little adventurous novel, with a sprinkle of spunk. One connection I made to my life was a close one leaving you when you had no idea how to talk to them. It was a strange experience and I feel that definitely connected with me the most in the novel. Entry #21 My knowledge of this time period influences how much I sympathize for the characters and their actions. One major event in France at this time was the rise and fall of Napoleon Bonaparte and his followers.
My Inspiration as a Writer Why do we write? What experiences affect your identity as a writer? How do you develop your own voice? These are the questions that lead me to reflect on relevant moments in my life where I can apprehend my inspiration for writing. When I read a book, I want the moment to feel real.
Lesson 8: Journal Response I enjoyed reading Black Boy by Richard Wright because it was a touching story about the significant of books. In the story, Wright shares the story of the life-changing transformation books introduced into his life during a time of hardship. Books allowed him to change his perspective of life a feeling he describes as, “The impulse to dream had been slowly beaten out of me by experience. Now it surged up again and I hungered for books, new ways of looking and seeing. It was not a matter of believing or disbelieving what I read, but of feeling something new, of being affected by something that made the look of the world different.” I was able to connect with the story because like Wright, reading is one of my favorite pastimes.
Do you remember reading a thrilling story that you could actually relate too? Numerous stories today tell the inspiring stories of people by many authors; however, I feel The Odyssey and Romeo and Juliet both portray similar themes in the context of the story. For example, both show the importance of love, family, and fate in the context of the story. In the story Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is passionately in love with Juliet. He would do anything to have her hand in marriage; consequently, it leads to dangerous confrontations.
Those that write about themselves tend to get caught up in the emotional experience and wish to create a positive biography that they would not mind sharing with friends, family, and a potential employer. Often, a positive biography rarely works. It is the controversial mistakes that lead to popular articles. Just think about writing a perfectly flowery article about your background. Now, think about the future.
It makes the readers want to know what will happen next. So suspense really is a key point in every story, authors want readers to think about the story. Suspense also helps reader comprehend the story because again, it makes readers think. They may not know it, but suspense helps them to become better
A few reasons one might say a mystery is worth reading is that they are suspenseful, they are more intriguing than other books, and they keep the readers mind working throughout the book. The first reason a mystery is worth reading is that they are suspenseful. Mary McCarthy once said, "The suspense in a novel is not only in the reader, but in the novelist, who is intensely curious about what will happen to the hero." When reading a mystery the reader is engaged into the book almost as if they were there watching it all unfold, they are able to feel the excitement and danger that the main character or other characters are feeling. It keeps the reader on the edge of his or her seat and in the end they do not want to stop reading.
The elements of American Romanticism really focus on making the reader think deeper. What the author writes in the book could have deeper meanings. For instance when the author talks a lot about characters having depressing thoughts or issues with family members, that could mean the author has had past experience with hard times with family members, or struggled with depression. Overall the themes that American Romanticism brings are good to get a reader deep into thought and have deep insightful thoughts. The way the writers wrote their stories lets the reader know how the writer feels and knowledge on the authors personal
Many well-written works of literature rely on suspense and conflict. One problem can be the main root for the entire story, and in fact, conflict is usually what drags the reader in. They add more tension and anticipation and help the author get more reactions out of the reader. Conflict can help a story be far more entertaining and tense to read. It keeps the narrative fresh and addictive, leaving the reader wanting to read more and learn how the conflict was resolved, or if it ever was.
