In the book “ The absolutely true diary of a part- time indian”. Junior is a kid with many battles in his life. In the movies Victor is some what the same. Junior and victor are both indians, they live on the rez. Victor’s dad was a drunk, he had left him and his mother when victor was young. Junior’s dad was also a drunk but he stayed around. The similar situation about the book and story is the message. The message to me is strength. It shows a lot in both the book and move.
