Ever since the early 18th century with the cases of the “wild beast” many cases have come and gone but some have gained popularity in the talks of society. Such as the Edward Theodore case in 1957. Edward Theodore Gein was born on August 27, 1906, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Growing up Gein was devoted to his mother until she died in 1945, and he then became increasingly deranged and started to go to cemeteries to unbury recently buried female corpses. As soon as he unburied the female he would cut off body parts and keep them as trophies, then put the rest of the corpse making it seem as if he never dug it up. This trial is the Morgan Geyser trial. On May 31, 2014, 12-year olds Payton Leutner, and her friends Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser had a sleepover, and which Anissa and Morgan had planned to kill Payton the next day. Payton, Anissa, and Morgan decided to go play in the park by Payton’s house, where they played hide and seek and Payton was the one to seek. As they started their game in the woods, Anissa and Morgan hit Payton in the head where she fell to the ground and one of them stabbed Payton 19 times and as they thought she was dead, they left her in hope of meeting the Slender Man, who is a fictional horror character created by Eric Knudsen. Alone and bleeding out, Payton got the strength to get up and crawl out from the woods towards the park, where a cyclist had found Payton with stab wounds to her arms, legs, and torso. Anissa and Morgan were later arrested, and with them two being 12 years old, the state of Wisconsin states anyone 10 or older charged with attempted first-degree homicide is automatically considered an adult under the state law, during trial, Morgan pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 21, 1960. Jeffrey claims that his compulsions toward necrophilia and murder began around the age of 14 but decided to keep it to himself because he did not know how to tell people what was wrong. Just after graduating high school, in June 1978, Jeffrey picks up a hitchhiker named Steven Hicks where Dahmer took him to his parents’ house and got Steven drunk, when Steven then later try to leave Dahmer killed him by striking him in the head and strangulating him. He then dismembered the body and packed the body parts in plastic bags and buried them behind his parents’ home. Then in September of 1987 he checked into a hotel room and drank with Steven Tuomi, and when Dahmer woke up he found Tuomi dead and not remembering what he had done the night before. So he bought a large suitcase and transported Tuomi’s body to his grandmother’s basement where he dismembered the corpse and had his pleasures on the corpse. Dahmer’s killing spree lasted for more than 13 years, during that time he sought out mostly African American men at gay bars, malls and he lured them home with promises, in which he gave them alcohol and then strangled them to death.
