In the United States alone there has been over 15,696 killings in the last year. States with the most murders include California and Texas. These two states rank at having 2,000 murders just within their borders. (U.S homicide) Since 1980 the United States has only had 87 well known serial killers, most of these killers are men that have been abused in their lifetime. Statistics show that serial killers in the United States often kill for fun and financial gains. The day started of as if it was any other day. Rusty Yates left for work and hour before his mother was to arrive at their house.
