In the United States alone there has been over 15,696 killings in the last year. States with the most murders include California and Texas. These two states rank at having 2,000 murders just within their borders. (U.S homicide) Since 1980 the United States has only had 87 well known serial killers, most of these killers are men that have been abused in their lifetime. Statistics show that serial killers in the United States often kill for fun and financial gains. (Serial Killer) In class we have been learning about serial killers and the psychological disorders that cause them to carry out the murders they commit. The day started of as if it was any other day. Rusty Yates left for work and hour before his mother was to arrive at their house. (Chan, Melissa) His mother had offered to help take care of Andrea and her children. Within the hour her husband left for work and her mother-in-law was due to arrive she killed her 5 children in the bathtub. (Montaldo, Charles)Andrea first filled the bathtubs with water and placed her third child Paul in the tub. She continued systematically by drowning the three youngest boys, then placing them on her bed and covering them. Noah the oldest had walked in the bathroom and saw his youngest sibling Mary floating in the water. He began to ask his mother what was wrong with her. When she failed to answer he turned and tried to run away. His mother unfortunately caught up with him and dragged him screaming into the tub next to his sisters floating body. He fought endlessey, evidence shows that he came up for air twice but his mother continued to hold him down until he was dead. Andrea then grabbed Mary and placed her little body into the arms of her brothers. She decide to leave her son Noah’s body floating lifeless in the bathtub. Afterwards she called the police calmly, then placed a call to her husband saying “It’s time” repeatedly. (Andrea
