Andrew Jackson was the 7th President of the United States. His face appears on the $20 dollar bill but there is discussion of removing him and replacing him with another well known figure. Looking back through the history of his time did Andrew Jackson do more harm than good. He was born March 15, 1767 in a log cabin on the frontier between the Carolinas. He was a “common man” so the common folk loved him.

Every president of the United States should reflect an impeccable character. George Washington was trustworthy and well respected among the citizens. John Adams, a founding father, even helped draft the Declaration of Independence. Occasionally, a president will be elected who lacks the appropriate behavior of a president, even though he can guide the people. Andrew Jackson was such a man.
Does Andrew Jackson Deserve to be on the 20-dollar bill? In my belief Andrew Jackson does not belong on the 20-dollar bill, due to the simple fact of that in 1836 Andrew Jackson tried over throwing the U.S national bank because he believed that hard currency like gold and sliver should be used. Andrew Jackson in some sense is an ironic placement on any paper currency in the United States. Although this topic is very controversial in the United States. I will try and clarify my belief about why Andrew Jacksons placement on the twenty dollar bill and why he should be reconsidered.
Jackson: Good or Evil Andrew Jackson had a negative impact on the formation of our country. Opinions are very disputed over Jackson, whether he is liked or disliked. On one hand, some believe he was a great president and contributed to our country remarkably. On the other hand, he murdered men in duels, went against the Supreme Court, and forced hundreds of Native Americans to leave their homeland just because of a gold rush. Although Jackson did many things for our country, his atrocious actions outnumber his positive impacts staining this “great” president’s legacy.
Andrew Jackson, some say hero, others say monster. Although, history has clearly shown that he is one of America's greatest heroes. Take the battle of New Orleans for example. A great victory for the States in the War of 1812. He was also a log cabin president, meaning he was born poor.

Andrew Jackson There are many different reasons why andrew Jackson is my favorite president. One reason I admire Mr. jackson is that he served in the revolutionary war at the age of thirteen. Another reason I admire jackson is because he killed a man named Charles Dickens in a duel, that and he has been in over at least 5 to a 100 duels. He also took a bullet to the chest in one of his famous duels which he continued to carry with hith the rest of his life.
Andrew jackson was one of the worst presidents because he made many unconstitutional choices that made a big difference. One of the many unconstitutional thing he did was that he gave government jobs to his friends and the people that voted for him, also know as the spoils system. He also forced the natives out of their land because he wanted more land, the indians also had to walk 1000 miles to the oklahoma territories that is now oklahoma. By giving his friends and people who voted for him a government job he “spoiled” the people that voted for him and supported him. This is not right because these people do not have the experience towards the job, This could possibly ruin the political system

Throughout the early 1800’s, the United States was going through some changes. For one, people were becoming more involved with electoral elections. By the year 1828, only two states out of the twelve were the legislatures voting for the president. This meant that people were voting for electors and that there was an increase in democracy. (DOC 1) With Andrew Jackson’s win over John Quincy Adams, he became the sixth president of the United States in 1829.
Andrew Jackson was not a successful President. Many of his policies were selfish. For example, so me of his monetary policies led to the Panic of 1837. He also ended the Bank of the United States. He took the money form the Bank of the United States and put it into “pet banks”, which contributed to the Panic of 1837.
