In Ramon “Tiangus” Perez personal essay the“The Fender-Bender” he writes about two distinct characters, An Anglo driver and a Chicano cop; although they both express the emotion anger and both want to resolve the Fender-bender, the Chicano marks their differences in personalities as he is a prejudice and is wicked as compared to the reasonable and non prejudice. In the moment that Perez puts his car on reverse he accidentally rear ends the company van of the Anglo-Saxon. As the Anglo gets out to see the damage on the van he directs his anger towards Perez and asks him for his license, in which Perez responds with he doesn't have it. His reaction, as stated by Perez, “He scratches his head. He is breathing heavily with fury” (176).
In “Identities” by W.D. Valgardson, the author shows through her work how ignorant society has become. Based on the setting, the man was misinterpreted by the police officer. People’s judgments of others lead to irrational circumstances. “When the officer,… who is nervous because of the neighborhood, who is suspicious because of the car and because he is trained to see an unshaven man in blue jeans as a potential thief…”; is made as an example of the everyday individual in society that would automatically judge a person on how they look (6).

Teens are known for being reckless, problematic, immature, stupid, etc, but David Dobbs begs to differ using the event of his son’s “mistake” as an example. Dobb’s son decided it was fine to go 113 MPH down the highway. He finds it outrageous at first, and so was the cop giving him a long citations on his ticket, one of them being reckless driving. Dobb’s son thinks this is inaccurate because it makes it sound like he was not careful,Dobb’s son explains that there was barely any cars around, it was perfectly clear out, there was no wet roads, it was the perfect condition to do something outrageous like that. After his son’s testimony to his actions, he realized that he was right.
He brings up a hypothetical situation about his son being hit by a drunk driver and how he would much rather he be in an SUV than a Corolla. As the saying goes, "safety first." Like Hochswender said, many intelligent people realize that SUVs are safer than the average car. People who believe that SUV's are unsafe because of the number of rollover accidents don't consider that rollover accidents can happen because of reckless driving. People choosing to drive like maniacs have a larger chance of being involved in an accident with an SUV just like those who choose to drive like maniacs in a small
Only two items are in the picture: the car seat and the durex label. This plays the tune that the decision is very plain and simple. You have two clear choices in front of you, and not much else matters. Showing nothing else in the picture but those two items is saying not to let other things in life distract you into making the wrong decision. Some things that might seem important actually aren’t.
Drinking and Driving The article “11 Facts About Driving Under the Influence” states that every 51 minutes in America, someone’s life is stolen from them due to one’s selfish decision to drive under the influence. This decision does not only affect those of the lives they have deprived, but it leaves family members and close colleagues in pain and agony knowing that one’s ignorant decision, to break the law murdered their loved one. If one understands the facts, that will be stated in this essay, and choose not to drink and drive, then he or she might just save the world, one life at a time. Driving while under the influence is wrong for many reasons. First, when someone chooses to drive under the influence he or she is being selfish, and
Colonel Frank Mayer replaced Colonel Burnett as DCD Commander. His personality was exactly the opposite of Burnett’s, and though brilliant, he was not mature. But travels with him, keep us in stitches. One day we were traveling in a rented car, and he turned to the driver and said; “I don’t like the way you’re driving and took the keys out of the ignition.” Those were the days without steering lock, and nothing happened, but it did shock us. Another day we were in Washington briefing Under Secretary of the Army Ambrose.
Proponents of issuing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens have argued that it would improve national security and road safety. The security argument is spurious, because illegal aliens often use aliases and phony documents, so the alien’s identity and residence is not established as a result of the driver’s license process...” The argument about road safety relies on a faulty assumption that if illegal aliens are legally licensed to drive, they will all have accident insurance. But even if a state requires automobile insurance as a condition of getting a license, that does not keep an illegal alien from cancelling the policy the next day. Illegal aliens generally are working in low-wage jobs and have difficulty affording insurance, and their cars are frequently older and more accident-prone. Additionally, illegal aliens often are not able to read road alerts in English.
Cee and Sid let radio Raheem through making sure not a drop of water hits him, but when Charlie tries to drive through he is drenched by the two men. Spike does this to show how again everything is not how it seems. Charlie did act like a jerk, but that's not the real reason they destroyed Charlie’s car. The real reason is respect Radio Raheem had their complete respect “and that's the truth, Ruth”(Lee 2). Also, Charlie is a rich white guy driving through their block which the resent.
