1 Introduction
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animal is treated “This is a quote made by the famous Mahatma Gandhi, who believed in the rights of animals. Humans are stronger and more intelligent than Animals but sadly , they use their power wrongly . Animals are abused, tortured and deprived of their basic needs even though they feel pain and fear just like us (Donaldson, 2014) .. Animal Abuse are prevalent even in developed countries such as Singapore. This paper presents information and raise the public awareness on Animal Abuse in the world, particularly in Singapore. Some people also believe that that abusing animals is a sign of strength and toughness . There is also a group of people who feel pleasure in abusing animals and they enjoy seeing animals in pain and thus derive satisfaction in torturing them . Another reason would be that the abuser do not realize the consequence of his action such as young and naïve children . Many people also gain profit in abusing them which lead to further abuse as they don’t see the outcome of their wrongdoings .

3 Types and Cases of Animal Abuse
Torturing of pets , killing animals in an inhumane manner and failing to provide appropriate food and shelter to pets constitute Animal Abuse (What is Animal Cruelty ?, 2014). 3.1 In the World 3.1.1 Animal Farming
Animals are kept in inhumane manner for their valuable parts or even forced to breed for selling purposes ( Puppy Mill ) . Raccoons and rabbits are skinned alive for their fur and bears are kept for bile farming

Most importantly , Animal Abuse must be prevented and this paper had raised the public awareness . For it to be prevented , limitations and consequences must be imposed – Animal Abuse by profit-driven people can be prevented by banning the sale of animal parts and impose heavy penalty . This may not be fully effective as there may be undetected abuse or even black markets . However , this may not be fully effective but still it would give a better result . As in the context of Singapore , the Government should impose more law to protect the animals rights . Government may also even award animal savior / lover to discourage animal abuse . Still , there are many more possibilities to tackle this issue and the Government or even the individuals must fully utilize these possibilities to create an abuse-free
