Livestock owners, pet lovers, and animal enthusiasts beware¨-Amanda Radke. Animal abuse has become a Major issue; happening more and more. What are the consequences? This results in many people going to jail, which they should. Animal abuse is abuse, no matter what form, the way you treat an animal is how you will treat others, and it has become a major issue in today 's world. Abuse is abuse, no matter if it is animal or human. ¨The FBI defines cruelty to animals as: "Intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly taking an action that mistreats or kills any animal without just cause, such as torturing, tormenting, mutilation, maiming, poisoning, or abandonmen¨ - Amanda Radke. Mistreating an animal can result into animal cruelty, and could affect you the same way it is to abuse another human being. ¨And the Brooklyn district attorney, Kenneth P. Thompson, said Mr. Robinson 's case, which is scheduled to go to trial on Wednesday, was "indicative of my determination to be strong on folks who think they can just abuse any type of animal.¨- Rebecca Hartt. The problem is that people begin to assume that any animal can be abused. Animals become part of a family member, and if you can easily abuse an animal then what will stop you? Abuse is abuse.
