For my preschool observation, I went to little jungle childcare center in Fargo, North Dakota. I knew about this childcare facility, because I have been working there for about seven months. It was truly a different experience to take my break earlier in the day and just observe the class that I usually work in. Through observations, I was able to actually think about why the room is set up the way it is, watch how students and teachers listen and talk to each other, and think about why we do some of the assessment that we do with the kids. Description of the Classroom At Little Jungle Care Child Center, every classroom is themed with a different animal from the jungle.
FLAMINGO BEHAVIOR REPORT My class visited flamingos at our local zoo to observe the behavior of each one and how they interacted with each other. Each person had to observe an individual flamingo. We observed for approximately 15 minutes our flamingos patterns and soon made a pattern sequence, which is a abbreviations of actions containing the order of actions the flamingos made. After making the table my class got into groups of three and started organizing the actions in a more organized and simpler form. From the group, the person who had the more actions, table would be chosen.
On my first year, I was promoted from team member to team lead in my job at Jamba Juice. This experience had a great influence on my leadership skills. I was in charge of the employees and the store during the evening shift, and some weekend’s day shift. My duties included to direct the team members to help clean the store at closing, count the money in the registers, prepare deposits, and print out the sales for the day. My actions were best displayed by completing all evening tasks in order to prepare the store for the next day.

During the summers between veterinary academic years, I worked at different practices to see various clinical techniques and aspects of veterinary medicine. My first summer, I spent at a small animal general practice in Hagerstown, Maryland and the next summer, at an emergency and specialty hospital in Frederick, MD. Working at these hospitals gave me clinical and client communication skills that I could never be taught in veterinary school. I was able to work night shifts, perform CPR on various patients, and see an emergency caseload similar to what an intern would be expected to manage at your facility. While scheduling my external rotations for 4th year, I have visited three separate specialty clinics that take interns, to better familiarize
In Middle School, I also spent some time volunteering for the PTA, helping with sales and school activities among other things. During the past few summers, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the local zoo, which was interesting and enlightening. Unfortunately, it seems that I never have enough time. I do volunteer at Terra from time to time, helping friends with their service projects, and even work a sale or two.
For my individual community project, I volunteered at the MUST Ministries Donation Center located on Chastain Road in Kennesaw for ten hours. I did the first five hours on Saturday, October 24th and the other five hours on the next Saturday of the same month. Prior to arriving at the donation center, I received a PIN number to log in and out of the computer to identify when I started and ended my volunteer shift. On both days, I had the same experience and work to do. I had to wear gloves and go through the racks of clothes and make sure the articles of clothing were in the right section where they are suppose to belong.
