Anna Garcia was last seen alive by her neighbor, Doug Greene. She was walking her dog, wearing a thick sweater in 92°F weather. Her dog would not stop barking, which alerted Doug. After Anna would not answer the door, Doug called the cops. After the cops came, Anna was found lying face down on the floor. She was determined to be dead by the EMTs. The following case report will cover evidence found at the scene and a final conclusion regarding how Anna Garcia passed away. At the crime scene, Anna was found lying face down. We came to this conclusion not after our recordings of our observation, we also added drops of various indicators to each substance sample. By doing this, we were able to see the various reactions with each indicator to see which substance matched the reactions of the unknown substance found at the crime scene. The substance at the crime scene reacted with bubbling when each indicator, as did the Acetylsalicylic Acid, confirming the identity of the substance At the crime scene we also found a series of blood spatters as well as a pool of blood near Anna’s head. An emergency call comes in at 9:45 am from Doug Greene. He discloses that his neighbor and recently ended love interest, Anna Garcia, a well developed thirty-eight-year-old hispanic has been skipping routinely morning walks and that the last time he saw her was at 6:30 am on August 13th. Since her dogs were unusually barking, it sparked concern in Greene. The call brought police to Garcia’s home who found her dead lying face down on her entry hallway at 9:56 am. It is 10:20 am on August 14th when police are securing the crime scene.

In this case study, Liana Garcia is experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. Liana is overwhelmed at the possibility that her current boyfriend sexual assaulted her daughter. This emotional tragedy regenerated flashbacks of the sexual abuse she endured during her childhood. Liana feels ashamed and guilty about her personal traumas, and the likelihood of her child dealing/ living with this traumatic event exacerbated her PTSD into major depressive disorder and suicidal thoughts and drugs to “numb” herself of any feelings. Liana is continuously victimized by the dangerous conditions of her life and threats to her personal safety and her children 's safety.
It is undeniable that most college parties contain alcoholic drinks that may increase the chances of being a victim of rape. However, that does not mean there is no way for helpless individuals to determine when a date rape drug has been placed into a drink. While at George Mason University, I hope to investigate this problem and aid in discovering a better and easier way to detect date rape drugs that are unexpectedly placed in beverages. While I may not have been personally affected by this issue, it does not mean that I am not interested in the topic.
