Anne is a girl around the age of 12-15. She is a Jewish girl with her Jewish family. She and her family are caught in the middle of the holocaust. She is in hiding from the Nazis, because if the Nazis do manage to find her she will be taken to a concentration camp. She is in a world, which seems to have no hope or freedom; but if you look closely, it’s everywhere. There is a very finite amount of space in the secret annex even if it is two floors. I would think I would loose all my hope if I spent even a month or two in there; I have no idea how Anne could have survived two years in the annex. She has a very strong heart if she has hope that lasts two years in the same space for that long of time. She can find hope in the annex by playing simple board games, puzzles, and even some homework. One other thing that really helps her is her mind; Anne has all kinds of memories of the past and how it was outside. …show more content…
She would be all alone, but with her family it helps her feel comforted and loved. She has friends as well. One of her friends is a boy named Peter. She is very close to Peter. They tell each other secrets and complain to each other like real friends do. Peter is one of those people who helps out where he can. Peter helps Anne by keeping her mind off the current event, which is being in hiding for a long period of time. Then when Peter and Anne had started liking each other that kept her mind off the war more than anything else. It had seemed as if that’s all Anne was talking about. If Anne has people going through the same thing as she is, it must be better for her to live through
Prior to World War 2 Jewish people were the main family or culture that the Nazi’s been feeding off of and killing approximately 6,000 each day. Which led to 6.5 million Jews dead at the end of the war and a few survivors. Although one of these few survivors was Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, Diarist of one of the most famous diaries, “The Diary of Anne Frank.” World War 2 was a devastating event that changed how Jews lived because because they were said to be “Divergent.” How I felt about the events covered in the Diary of Anne Frank was dramatically depressing.
I am going to talk about what disturbs me about Anne Franks story and the holocaust and what good came from Annes story join me if you want to on my journey. What is disturbing is that the Franks had to go into hiding and just a couple days before jews were disappearing and that the Franks protectors Miep and Mr.Kraler could face the same punishment for hiding them as if they were also jews. The Franks are jews and their protectors are not and they are still hiding the Franks even though they could get caught trying to help the Franks and get killed and then the Franks would not know where they are and get killed themselves. It's scary just thinking that you are hiding from the law and you'll get killed if found and your not in the comforts of
It mainly documents the time of her hiding during the holocaust when Hitler came to power. Anne and her family moved from Germany to Amsterdam in 1933. The family went into hiding in some concealed rooms behind a bookcase in the building where Anne’s father worked. In August 1944, they were betrayed and sent to a concentration camp. Anne and her sister Margot were sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
Anne Frank was a very energetic young girl who tended to annoy the people around her with her thoughts, and never thinks about the things she says before she speaks out. During this time, Adolf Hitler has come into power, taking jewish people and their families away from their homes, killing, starving or working them to death, that has also come to be known as the Holocaust. Due to this and Anne’s family being jewish, they take action and go into hiding in an annex above an office with one other family named the Van Daans. The main events that happen, affect
In this story of Anne Frank, it happens that she was a normal person, with a normal life. But then it happens that the Nazis want to kill her family, so they go to a secure house, with another family, she get the most valuables tings to this house, were they live know. In the Tell-Tale story, what happens is that is that two people is living there, the one that care, like a majordomo. The problem is that this majordomo wants to kill the person, because of the eye, he does not like this eye, so he watch this person when he sleep, for days when the man look out and the other kill it.
I will be talking about new things that I have done this nine weeks and it is gonna talk about Anne Frank with her I will be talking how she survived for four years during the holocaust. Then I am going to talk about a person that we researched and I researched Elvis Presley. The last one I will be talking about is Derek Redmond the olympic runner. After reading this essay I hope you learn something new about these three people.
The book Anne Frank: The Diary of A Young Girl teaches readers about the transformation of a young girl during WWII. She matures greatly throughout her diary. She also develops a genuine relationship with another Jew hiding with her, Peter. Through the despair and hopeless times in the Annex, Anne finds a way to discover things about others and even herself that she never knew before. Anne is hiding in the Annex along with The Van Daans and her family.
In the movie Anne feels like she has to be with Peter more often. She feels safer with Peter in the movie. In conclusion, there are different versions of the Diary of Anne Frank, like plays and movies, and they are not all the same. The different versions, although, also have many similarities.
Anne Frank’s Character Development Throughout the War Throughout World War II Anne Frank was kept hidden away in a 500 square foot building they came to call the Secret Annexe. Anne Frank, her family, and the Van Daans endured difficult times of hunger, thirst, and lack of privacy cornered by walls for over two years. Anne confided her observations and feelings of the hard times within her diary she named Kitty. By writing in her diary both before and after the war, one could visibly notice how Anne went into the Annexe as a juvenile and came out as a young adult.
The Diary of Anne Frank is a story written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett about a girl named Anne that is Jewish and has to go into hiding in her dad's old office during WWll with her mom, Edith Frank, her dad, Otto Frank, her sister, Margot Frank, a friend of Mr. Frank’s named, Hermann Van Daan, his wife, Auguste Van Daan, their son, Peter Van Daan, and finally a man named Mr. Dussel. They have to go into hiding because Hitler hates Jews and wants to send them all to concentration camps to be killed and tortured. So with the help of Miep Gies and Mr.Kraler they can get some supplies like, food, books, etc. until WWll is over by using ration books. When the families begin to settle in the hidden room, or as they call it the Annex, they have to set some ground rules like for example from eight in the morning until six in the afternoon they must only move when it is necessary and in stockinged feet, they must not speak above a whisper, must not run any water, and finally don’t use the sink or the w.c (water closet also known as the toilet).
Her attitude and willingness to talk back to adults often got her in trouble with the other occupants of the Annex, as Peter Van Daan, Mr. Van Daan, Mrs. Van Daan, Margot, Mr. Dussel, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank did not quite enjoy arguing as much as she did. Tensions rose and rose the longer they were stuck in the secret Annex to hide from Nazi police, and Anne’s belligerent attitude did nothing to help matters. However, throughout the play, she changes a lot. She is severely impacted by the abrupt change in lifestyle, as she goes from a happy, carefree child going to school and hanging out with friends to a serious young woman whose family’s survival sometimes depends on her being able to shut her mouth. Throughout her stay in the Annex she begins to understand more and more how serious their situation is, and responds to it by maturing and growing as a person.
The Secret Annex Living within the secret annex wasn't the easiest thing to do. Secrets were kept, stories were told, things changed in the Frank's life and the Van Danns life. Not everyone got along well in the secret annex. There were limitations and restrictions they all had to follow. The rooms annex wasn't a huge house, they had to share lots of things.
Anne Frank as a Heroic Figure Anne Frank has made a mark in our world, and she is a hero to us all. In Diary and a Young Girl, Anne is a young Jewish girl who has to go into hiding during WW2 to escape from the Nazis. Anne is a hero because of her patience, her positive mindset, and how brave and strong she is. The people around Anne were terrified for their lives during WW2.
This story is abut a girl that was writing her daily days while she was in the holocaust She was venting her fears and frustrations, and contemplating her everyday life. She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. She realized that writing down her thoughts and feelings could help her cope with the anxiety of the war and Nazi persecution.
The employees of Otto’s office helped supplied the Franks with food, and information of the outside world. In this diary, Anne wrote a lot about her feelings. She would write about how she adored her father and how her mother lacked in love and affection. She did not write much about her sister Margot. In this dairy, Anne developed a strong bond with Peter
