A massive escape from Sobibor (concentration camp) as Jews break out. 300 escaped, only 50 survived. Deaths then stop at Sobibor, after over 250,000 deaths.
Anne Frank was one of the diaries everyone loved. Anne Frank 's diary took you to the holocaust experience with her family. Anne Frank, who wrote her diary in hiding with her family and a handful of acquaintances in an attic warehouse in Amsterdam, is the most famous child diarist of the Holocaust era. Following the war, Anne 's father, Otto Frank, the sole survivor of the group, returned to Amsterdam in the summer of 1945, where former employee Miep Gies gave him Anne 's diary and some further papers which she had found in the annex after the arrests. The diary first appeared in the Netherlands in 1947.

In the camps more than one million people died during World War II, other sources say 1.1 million died in Auschwitz. There are many reasons of death caused by the Nazis in Auschwitz such as in the gas chambers, the Nazis use Zyklon-B as a way to murder the Non-Aryans, once they were murdered they were put into a crematorium which was used to burn the bodies. If the Jews or Non-Aryans disrespected or did not follow the Nazi’s commands they were either shot or hanged if the non-Aryans were not fed enough they either starved to death or got sick and died. One source said 2.1 to 2.5 million Non-Aryans died in the gas chambers. On January 27, 1945, the Soviet army entered Krakow and liberated the Auschwitz Death Camps.
In January of 1945, the Schutzstaffel (SS) abandoned the Auschwitz complex as the Soviet Forces closed in. Prisoners were forced to march to other camps, which resulted in thousands of deaths. Many who couldn’t keep up with other prisoners or too slow were shot and left to die. The Nazis had time to demolish some gas chambers and camps, but they had to evacuate quickly. When the creation of the Warsaw ghetto began German SS and police unite would move thousands of Jews to the Treblinka killing center. About 265,000 Jews deported were killed and about 35,000 Jews inside the ghetto were killed. Right away Irena Sendler and with the help of others took action and smuggled children out of the ghetto by an ambulance, in a potato sacks, in coffins, and many more. The Holocaust, a memorable yet tragic event in history that resulted in millions and millions of deaths among innocent individuals. All age groups between young and old were separated from their families, stored into railcars, and sent to concentration camps where they will be tortured……..to death. But the mass killing ended so many years ago, right?Well guess again because it seems in North Korea, the familiar death camps has taken a tole on its people. Between the early to mid 1940’s, over 6 million Jews would spend their lasts moments crowded by complete strangers who were dying from starvation, toxic chemicals, and dreadful diseases.
The Holocaust was a genocide in which Adolf Hitler’s Nazis killed millions of Jews. Adolf Hitler captured the Jews and put them to work, once they weren’t needed, they were put in gas chambers to their death. As mentioned before, Kitty Hart-Moxon was a survivor of the Holocaust, Kitty and her mother were taken to Auschwitz, a Nazi death camp, to work in bathrooms or collecting the valuables. People were stripped of everything they owned even their name, which were replaced with a number. Living quarters were awful, eight people were to share one bunk to sleep.
The Diary of Anne Frank is the story of a girl and her family's hiding. The Holocaust was when Adolf Hitler took over the Jewish population along with gypsies and the disabled. In the play and the movie, I saw two major differences. The first difference I noticed was the relationship between Anne & Petar developing. The second difference was the scene with the Green Police and thief.
Trude Silman Holocaust Child Survivor The Holocaust is one of the saddest moments in human history. While World War One and 9-11 were both hugely devastating blows to us and many others, World War Two exceeds both of those in horror and effect, and it all happened because of one man. Adolf Hitler.
