If you have ever been in any kind of english, reading, writing, or drama class, you have most likely heard of one of the worlds most renowned artist in literature, The English National Poet, William Shakespeare. He is often referred to as the greatest dramatist of all time. Whether you were informed about his successful entrepreneurship, or his playwright, there is no way to get through high school without knowing of Shakespeare.
Though scholars are uncertain of the actual birthdate of Shakespeare, the Catholic church custom was to baptise at, or shortly after birth. The Holy Trinity Church records claim his baptism took place on April 26, 1564. Therefore, scholars acknowledge Shakespeare’s birthday as April 23, 1564. ("William Shakespeare."

Hathaway spent her life growing up in a small town about a mile west of Stratford, so she and William grew up in towns relatively close, called Shottery. Her family lived in a farmhouse, the Hathaway farm house, that had been in her family for many generations. She was born in the year of 1556, her exact birth records are also unknown. Not only is his past alone interesting, all of his family, and descendants, also have a past that is worth knowing about.
