The researchers conducted a study comparing 40 dental students that studied in the brick and mortar versus 40 e-learning dental students. They made sure all students from both sides had equalavant GPA’s so that both groups can be compared equal. The experimental group represented the (e-learners) and they received there coursework through their computers in an e-learning environment. The control group representend the traditional college learning experience and received the same course work in a traditional learning setting . All students took a test that consisted of 40 questions and a few essay questions. The results reflected that learning on line was more effective than traditional learning. The article states that doing this helps the staff keep up with the latest information needed to educate them on doing their jobs. The data in this article was collected by a large business that used e-learning to job train their employees .The results showed that e-learning allowed the employee to learn based on their own personal way of learning . The results showed that everybody learns different and it is more affective to let them learn on their own by using the e-learning solution which helped their staff develop better skills on solving situation that might occur on the job.
